I was always under the Illusion that Gabby Glaser incorporated the Hiphop elements in Luscious Jacksons music, while Jill Cunniff added the more 'Rock' elements, now I see the truth finally after so long! Gabby plays a mean axe! Btw what has happened to Gabby again? No news of anything about her for the past 10 months. I just have this gut feeling she wont make a followup record for a long time....if ever :S Damn Shame!!
I always loved Gabby's songwriting and guitar as part of LJ (e.g. songs like "Electric," "Gridlock," "Friends,", etc.), and her new album is freakin' amazing! Gabby is a musical genius who rocks my world!
Truly a genius, and I think she has such heart as not to be concerned with it. In the small NYC venues you can see up-close her total musicianship and perfectionism. That is what I find beautiful about Gabby. (Don't forget FLY, another freakn' masterpiece!)
She's awesome. There's no substitution for the perfect combo of rock and soul. She definitely wears her influences on her sleeve, but that's a good thing in her case. Keep rockin'! ~cc~
Nice to see something by Gabby G. on here. No, she doesn't have as "beautiful" voice as Jill but her music rocks. I'm surprised she's playing a Fender.
I too was hoping to see her to do the current work with her unique "Paul," but why the surprised? Her work was more of a clean "comping" in LJ, and here she plays a raw lead. Nice to see another Gab guitar fan.
Is that guy with the glasses playing guitar from the band The Rival Schools?

Gabby :sigh: so freaking great. I fell in love with her when she was in LJ, she was my favorite LJ member, and she's still rockin'. I dig this song.

wow I see the how the Luscious Jackson sound came to be. This woman HEAVILY guided their music. I thought it was all Jill, but I was wrong.

I totallly agree. Gabby was the soul of LJ. To see Gab play with these musicians in a small club was unforgettable.

After hearing Gab and Jill separately, I'm convinced the quirky funky undefinable sound of LJ was from GAB! I love GABBY! A genius.
