@MrMelon049 I know it sounds strange - because the bird is seemingly shot by every kid with a bb gun. But, the truth is that grackles are a protected migratory bird. HOWEVER, it is completely LEGAL to shoot them if they are causing damage to property or agriculture. And, since this is so often the case, it is legal to shoot them under those circumstances. I have had to shoot grackles in the past, but the ones in this video were not causing any known damage.

I'm glad you only killed the one offending crow. Crows are not the pests they once were and nowhere near their former numbers, thanks to an exotic pathogen [West Nile virus] that destroyed 100's of millions.

I know about heart shots, too. I once mounted a fine Canada goose. I knew the bird died before hitting the ground, but the broken humerus ripped through the skin, without a single drop of blood. When I gutted the skinned carcass for the meat, I found a lot blood and the torn heart.

I'd LOVE to have those male starlings for taxidermy. Actually, if you read your rights, you CAN LEGALLY shoot common as well as great-tailed grackles for just those very reasons you mentioned! Unlike killing game or other protected avian species for crop depredation, there's no statutes regarding disposal of carcasses, so I can legally mount and display them. I just cannot sell them.

I'm from the UK so really an airgun is the only choice unless you fancy the police coming round your house twice a year for spot checks just so you can own a .22 bolt action!

I have an air arms s310 upgraded at the factory to s410 spec. But it has to be limited to 12ft lbs. Really sucks, we make brilliant air rifles in the UK but the decent ones get sold overseas as we aren't allowed them :(

A real nice 10/22 with a match barrel and trigger will cost less than 800 bucks and a decent 22LR suppressor will also cost under 400 bucs. Add to that the ATF fees and you can have a very accurate and very quite rifle set up for less than what you paid for that nice 1600 air rifle.

I'm just saying. you have great videos and are very entertaining so I would love to see you evolve to something with more of a bang and maybe bigger game like Feral Hogs. :)
