  • nicley done,

  • Very nice video

  • how would you then water resist the inside???

  • what RPM speed is the lathe turning at..

  • It is really great! It will be fine if a method how carve out the inner of vase can be showed too.

  • i did this at my school, took me 2 hours

  • Very nice vase.

  • very good, i could never do that!

  • Excellent work! Very fluid with your tools. Thanks for the video.

  • your tools look so sharp do you burnish them on the bevel, tks again i reall learned a lot.i got lots of digs when i try to turn the end grain in goblets with a gouge so i use a scaper ( dont like using scraper as im told thats not really wood turning)

  • relaxing love it:)

  • Nicely done! I believe I picked up some good tips from watching this. Thanks...

  • tks for lesson it would be nice if you could talk us through it

  • @bingcro English is not my native language and i'm not good at it. If I talk in my videos, I would do it in Finnish. No one would understand it so I rather not talk at all. Thaks for your comment!

  • @teksu313 Then use subtitls

  • @teksu313 Then use subtitles

  • @teksu313 Well, you write it very well!

  • Beautiful. I'm thinking about starting turning.

  • So soothing to sit and watch a turning.

  • I'm having trouble joining my cuts, could you please give me some tips?

    thanx.

  • wow! you have very respectable and admireable skill. that vase turned out very nice.

  • SIMPLY BRILLIANT!

  • i'm doin woodwork for work experience might be using the lathe can't wait

  • Watch that sleeve when you're parting, having an arm sucked into the lathe isn't fun. Otherwise looks great. have you tried hollowing stuff out?

  • you make it look so easy!!!

  • i wish i can turn stuff like that x.x i can only make bowls

  • white alder looks like butter, im gonna have to try it some time. great work! really inspirational

  • great vase! great video!

  • tanx.

  • what wood is that u using? thanx great vid.

  • White alder (Alnus incana).

  • What speed was this running at, as I'm new to this game? Cheers

  • You have little damage on it which can be seen at 8:00 at throat of vase :-{

    Anyway, good job.

  • There was a crack in the wood.

  • What rmp's are you running that at?

  • Absolutely amazing.

  • beautiful turning all the right tools used proberly very elegant smooth cuts very nice

  • Fascinating. I could watch this all day. I love woodturning and want to take it up. Thankyou for posting this.

  • perfect tools

  • nice work thanks for sharing the video.

  • i just got a 36x12 from harbor freight it cost 250$ but it is nice and sturdy it weighs 180lbs

  • it must be very soft wood like alder or something like that. I usualli turn much harder wood like birch

  • Nice Video! I am going to try to turn a little vase later today a\fter I go pick up some more wood after watching this.

Mini-Midi Wood lathes Cost around 200 dollars low end on upwards to 1000. A beginner would do excellent on a Penn State Industries TurnCrafter for 188 bones.

  • thx

  • is that wood still alittle wet or just soft because i tryed walnut but it broke when i was doing the top lip. im 12:) asking for advice

  • It's dry and soft wood.

  • does anyone know a site where i can get one of these for cheap ? please? message me back or reply to this comment i will be extrememly grateful :D!

  • you can get one for fairly cheap from harbor freight

  • I looked there, but all the ones I saw looked like crappy Chinese lathes.

  • How much are those worth so I can see how much I need to make to pay for my electricity bill after i use that machine. It's gotta be expensive in the winter

  • one of my favourite passtimes

  • a-whole-lot-of-RPM's tecneique iye

  • question.......was it a jolt when you cut the vase off? I was making a bat and we just used dropsaw....

  • You did a great job on the vase and I'm saving this to my favorites ! Thank you for making it look so easy to do : )

  • this is fanatsic

  • what tool is he using to hollow out the middle anybody know

  • This vase is not hollow. There is just widened hole on it. I used 9mm gouge to drill and widen the hole.

  • That has to be a really soft wood. the stuff i've used would take delicate work to get the same result without it breakign somewhere.

  • i don't get how you hollow it?

i've tried but i can't go so deep, and not so fast as you go.

  • Voi elämä ! Mahtavaa ! Ostan itsekin puusorvin tässä lähiaikoina..

  • Nice work .. WOW! the speed of the wood seemed like HyperDrive .. very nice work .. thanks

  • what wood would you recommend to use and sell as finished pieces

  • very nice what type of wood is it?

  • how far did you hollow that?

  • what type of wood are you turning?

  • Hienon pyöräytit!

Näytti sen verran helpolta tuo homma, että jospa sitä itsekin kokeilisi jotain vastaavaa.

  • Kiitos. Sorvaile jotain kivaa ja kuvaa video tänne :)

  • Very nice

  • what kind of lathe do you have?

  • It's homemade lathe. We took some parts from some cheap lathe. It's not very good but better than the cheap one was.

  • did you make it hollow at the bottom part of the vase too?

  • No. Just a deep hole.

  • is that even posible

  • Very nice ! you make it look so easy.

  • haha it looks like a wooden bong

  • what speed are you spinning it at?

  • A very nice video, but it would be nice to know what type of wood is being turned.

    Deb

  • It's white alder (Alnus incana)
