It is permanently switched off in the camera setup.I understand why you ask, it seems like it's more than a 10x optical zoom, but it's not.
The 35mm equivalent of the cx 105E is about 42 - 497mm, more than enough fore most cases. However i was at an airshow where i wish i had a 15X or more zoom, but that is a rear exception.

Nice test, just wanna know at the beginning of your video, did you only use optical zoom at max =608mm or use digital zoomX20=1216? or more 120X?
