Even on DuelingNetwork I don't use tourguide, Rescue Rabbit or Tengu.
And any Deck can beat anyother Deck. I have beat tengu plants with a low level normal monster wind deck. Not saying I am will keep beating them with it, just as an example, if it can happen once it can happen again.

Wow that was quite inspirational Emma. I totally felt a lot of what you were saying and it was really good of you to go for it. Glasgow too has a lot of assholes in Yu-Gi-Oh, I remember one in praticular who duelled my friend with a really big meta deck against my friend's cloudians and even though I never expected him to win (I underestimated the clouds) he did and it was really good to watch. My deck isn't a meta deck I don't have the time or money for yu gi oh. Mine runs Scar-Red Nova Dragon.

Amen to you sister! What gets me more is when they get a know-it-all attitude, one of the side effects of having too many consecutive wins in my oppinion. It's good to lose every now and then, you learn from it, but a game is completely pointless if you forget you're supposed to be having fun.

I have gotten that a lot when I started 10 years ago I always won when I played against this small community and granted I actually lost several games one of them was to a better player and I admitted that he was a great duelist. The other was a kid who drew into Exodia. And I gladly shook his hand an said congrats. Then I took a break for several years and re-entered four years ago. Finding the attitude of the players was appalling I have to win I have to win really?

I agree with the sexism part. I've felt my fair share of it at tournaments and things but at the end of the day I find it hilarious. You just have to be optimistic. Yugioh is not something to get so upset about. You do your best, try to make change where you can, and stay away from the jerks.
Question - Have you actually been to a tournament? Like a local like Spellbound or a Regional/National? It seems like you dont know what the community is like AT all, and only the small minority you have seen on the internet

As for me I'm always polite until i get someone who tries to cheat or ignores rulings. On DN just yesterday i spent 15 mins getting mods telling some guy he cannot use thunder king rai oh to negate miracle fusion. Thats the kind of things that get me in a mood. But online and irl i always give handshakes wish them luck ect, ect.
Challenge completed. Many times over. during my 6th year of high school i got 11 people into the game gave away most of my collection to let them and 1 year later despite having left they are still at it. They are all great people and really kind. Some of them are actually getting really good even on a budget.

In this time of the random meta, rouge decks can top and win, if you're not playing the "meta", the element of surprise and lack of people being able to side deck against you is an amazing tactic. If you're not winning then maybe it's not the deck, it's the player.

I agree with every point you mentioned in this video. I do have younger cousins who are learning to play. I always try to teach them to always have fun and be positive about the game. We all try to compete but it's all about how we handle losing. I hate to lose, but I try to use that time to figure out my mistakes and fix them to get better. That is something we should all teach the new generation of players. It was fun during the first generation growing up. Let's continue that experience.
I am seriously starting to hate the Dueling Network. I go on there to practice with the E-hero Deck I'm building and people will just start cussing, and I haven't even done anything. I just calmly correct a mistake they make and they just get furious and cuss then leave. You're right that the attitude of the people playing needs to change.
I'm helping my friend out as best as I can, she's gotten alot better at playing and in return she's got me into yoga! :), but this fucking deuchebag attitude from peoples really got to stop... It's really killing the game and less people are playing it, if you have any concept of a common sense you should be kind to people, and yes if you can bring someone else to play yugioh with you, it really helps. The more good interest the better it is for the longevity of the game.
I am one who can laugh it off, i only play for fun.
I think it's unhealthy that all the best cards are over $100 and thus they become super unobtainable to any people who don't particularly play to win. For example i play Banisharks, Jurrac, Relinquished Lockdown (underconstruction) and i am thinking about a Steelswarm/Verz or StarWarrior deck to make next. The meta players really need to have some manners knocked into them.

Hell, I agree with with video as well. Everytime i can to locals or to a Regionals i always get told nonsense about my deck and how i run it. Truthfully im a duelist who never side decks. A lot of ppl say i'll never win without using a side deck. Most meta deck run Rescue Rabbit, Tour guide and Tour Bus. All expensive decks which some of us really ant afford. There are a lot of dicks and assholes in the dueling world, but we cant let that get us down.
@jonathanbohn2008 I never side deck either, I feel like I'm cheating if I do. I play with the 40 cards I haven chosen from thousands - I don't need an extra 15 to make a difference. XD

(To expand on my first comment) Money isn't the issue here. The issue is that some duelists are flat out disrespecting others and it's uncalled for. (bullying, sexism etc.) In and outside the yugi-community. All I can say is if it happens to you at an event, just tell a judge, your friends, maybe even your parents. If it's online, just click off the page or block/report them.

I agree with this a lot. I know people who put hours of time, and thousands of dollars into YGO, and then treat everyone else like they are crap BECAUSE they didn't put in lots of money.
I have gotten put down a lot, and even when I win and top, because I am a female, and its just crazy. Dueling network is terrible, especially when I first started, that is why I mostly play with people I know on DN.

Although the video is fine, you have to understand that Yu-Gi-Oh! is technically climbing the ranks to possibly become the next professional game. Its understandable that people will get upset when there is so much on the line for them, be it an invite, a win at nats or even worlds where there is money on the line. Think of it as a football team and the cards are the players. You need the money to spend on contracts to get better players on your team right?
I agree with you, the attitude needs to change. Some people are too ignorant for their own good, young or old. And some people just treat a game FAR too seriously, and have far too much time/money on their hands. If people are gonna be like that over a game, then they can GTFO. I have no time for them.
And just my opinion here: If people want to play meta, play to win, or play original decks for fun, then that's fine. I run a Water and a Disaster Dragon deck. And I only duel for fun.

What I hate most about people is they think they know it all, and they try to "fix" your deck and actually have you mess it up. This happened to me when I first started, now I run a Zombie deck, no syncros, no Xyz's none of that and just because I dont run them people think my deck sucks until I win then they say "oh well...this isnt my main deck i can still win" its a load of bull -_-

I agree with you. I am lucky right now that the locals I go to here in California the players a good and not as horrible as others. But there are still times that I see that and it is bull. Are u saying that those people down there are like the people you are talking about in the yugioh community then? I KNOW for a fact that the majority of players down there play "meta decks" and fork out hundreds of pounds for cards. As for me I'm always polite until i get someone who tries to cheat or ignores rulings. On DN just yesterday i spent 15 mins getting mods telling some guy he cannot use thunder king rai oh to negate miracle fusion. Thats the kind of things that get me in a mood. But online and irl i always give handshakes wish them luck ect, ect.

Challenge completed. Many times over. during my 6th year of high school i got 11 people into the game gave away most of my collection to let them and 1 year later despite having left they are still at it. They are all great people and really kind. Some of them are actually getting really good even on a budget.

I think your attitude needs a fucking make over. In this time of the random meta, rouge decks can top and win, if you're not playing the "meta", the element of surprise and lack of people being able to side deck against you is an amazing tactic. If you're not winning then maybe it's not the deck, it's the player.

I agree with every point you mentioned in this video. I do have younger cousins who are learning to play. I always try to teach them to always have fun and be positive about the game. We all try to compete but it's all about how we handle losing. I hate to lose, but I try to use that time to figure out my mistakes and fix them to get better. That is something we should all teach the new generation of players. It was fun during the first generation growing up. Let's continue that experience.

I am seriously starting to hate the Dueling Network. I go on there to practice with the E-hero Deck I'm building and people will just start cussing, and I haven't even done anything. I just calmly correct a mistake they make and they just get furious and cuss then leave. You're right that the attitude of the people playing needs to change.

I'm helping my friend out as best as I can, she's gotten alot better at playing and in return she's got me into yoga! :), but this fucking deuchebag attitude from peoples really got to stop... It's really killing the game and less people are playing it, if you have any concept of a common sense you should be kind to people, and yes if you can bring someone else to play yugioh with you, it really helps. The more good interest the better it is for the longevity of the game.

I am one who can laugh it off, i only play for fun.
I think it's unhealthy that all the best cards are over $100 and thus they become super unobtainable to any people who don't particularly play to win. For example i play Banisharks, Jurrac, Relinquished Lockdown (underconstruction) and i am thinking about a Steelswarm/Verz or StarWarrior deck to make next. The meta players really need to have some manners knocked into them.

Hell, I agree with with video as well. Everytime i can to locals or to a Regionals i always get told nonsense about my deck and how i run it. Truthfully im a duelist who never side decks. A lot of ppl say i'll never win without using a side deck. Most meta deck run Rescue Rabbit, Tour guide and Tour Bus. All expensive decks which some of us really ant afford. There are a lot of dicks and assholes in the dueling world, but we cant let that get us down.

(To expand on my first comment) Money isn't the issue here. The issue is that some duelists are flat out disrespecting others and it's uncalled for. (bullying, sexism etc.) In and outside the yugi-community. All I can say is if it happens to you at an event, just tell a judge, your friends, maybe even your parents. If it's online, just click off the page or block/report them.

I agree with this a lot. I know people who put hours of time, and thousands of dollars into YGO, and then treat everyone else like they are crap BECAUSE they didn't put in lots of money.
I have gotten put down a lot, and even when I win and top, because I am a female, and its just crazy. Dueling network is terrible, especially when I first started, that is why I mostly play with people I know on DN.
It's just people who have bad attitudes in life need a confidence boost that do this crap, imo.

Although the video is fine, you have to understand that Yu-Gi-Oh! is technically climbing the ranks to possibly become the next professional game. Its understandable that people will get upset when there is so much on the line for them, be it an invite, a win at nats or even worlds where there is money on the line. Think of it as a football team and the cards are the players. You need the money to spend on contracts to get better players on your team right?

I agree with you, the attitude needs to change. Some people are too ignorant for their own good, young or old. And some people just treat a game FAR too seriously, and have far too much time/money on their hands. If people are gonna be like that over a game, then they can GTFO. I have no time for them.
And just my opinion here: If people want to play meta, play to win, or play original decks for fun, then that's fine. I run a Water and a Disaster Dragon deck. And I only duel for fun.

Very well said, I have a similar rant about people like this, there are quite a bit of them in my area as well. What I hate most about people is they think they know it all, and they try to "fix" your deck and actually have you mess it up. This happened to me when I first started, now I run a Zombie deck, no syncros, no Xyz's none of that and just because I dont run them people think my deck sucks until I win then they say "oh well...this isnt my main deck i can still win" its a load of bull -_-

I agree with you. I am lucky right now that the locals I go to here in California the players a good and not as horrible as others. But there are still times that I see that and it is bull. I had friends quit because of it. Yugioh is meant to play for both fun and to meet new players, not to be an idiot and be all High and Mighty and looking down on others.
