Seeing both videos and hearing what others say, here's my theory:

One day in the far future, they invented a virtual world with lifelike Artificial Intelligence (AIs) and allow humans to enter the world freely to interact with the world. However, one AI began a rebellion against humans, taking over their bodies to take the real world. One human (yellow) fell in love with the pink AI and they fought to defeat blue and save the real world from his control.

Energy weapons implied that he/she has access to manipulating the world, he/she doesn't have to be an AI.

Who are AIs and who are not is meant to be ambigious.

The white cats though look AI-ish, since they're bland and unemotional.
