@UnicornsAreTheBest It looks to me like a cow chasing a bucket of food. He doesn't have to jump and could go around. Those who say this is cruel need to step back- no one forced the cow. >.<
ok the reason I love this is not because ur cow can do lead changes and jump (awesomeness) its because you love your cow enough to do this with it. its awesome.
excuse me, but if you are only 22, and you say you've been in the dairy business for 20 years, that would mean you were 2 working with animals 100x bigger than yourself. Am I right? This is for paintedcowgirl1
excuse me, but if you are only 22, and you say you've been in the dairy business for 20 years, that would mean you were 2 working with animals 100x bigger than yourself. Am I right?
Cows are such characters, I love them. I ventured out to the far end if one of our pastures because I heard a weird noise. Turned out my pet cows were chasing a few does that ventured too close to their feeding trough. I don't think I had ever seen cows run so fast in my life.
When I was at the yard once tending too my horse there was a herd of cows and they just walked over too a 3ft gate and jumped it and got out, i was amazed :|
@missilovemypony yeah! I recall me and a bunch of other vet students once testing meat cattle for tuberculosis on a long shute and all of the sudden a HUGE bull gets tired of being squeezed by them annoying nervous cows and jumps out of the shut trotting happily back to the field! it was nearly 2 meters tall! we all climbed the posts faster than lightspeed! it was a huge laugh!
How can people dislike this? It's just a cow jumping, what is there NOT to like, or to not like enough to hit the dislike button? I DON'T UNDERSTAND!!!!!!!
@DropBearFTW it's a Maine Anjou steer or bull (i cant tell if it's castrated). just because it's black and white doesn't mean its dairy. it has no utters, and that small bump on his belly is where he urinates.
@zoeagility15 maybe i was wrong on the breed. but i have yet to see a male bovine with utters and a vagina. I know holstein bulls exist, they're just not dairy
@kirasheart69 There is a difference in body type between dairy and beef cows. While you are correct that reproductive organs are different between male and female dairy cows, the bulls and steers still have a "dairy" look about them. They are more refined and lighter boned than beef breeds.
@zoeagility15 because the markings favor a Maine Anjou. go look one up on google image. Yes, they're similar. I'm not an idiot. I showed and competed against other Maines that looked just like this. Holsteins and Maines have similarities, perhaps you're wrong?
@kirasheart69 I agree that they have similarities but if you look carefully at the way that he is built in this video and in the others that have been posted of him, he is clearly a dairy type steer.
I guess I shouldn't have singled you out. I'm sorry. Don't be sorry you commented. It was a good observation and I merely clarified that this is normal for bovids. Knowledge is power and mankind is doomed if we do not strive to share knowledge with others. Take care I hope there are no hard feelings :)
@EquitationChampion. Sorry I offended you. I guess 20 years in the Dairy AND horse show business isnt sufficient enough to try to educate some ignorant posts on a PUBLIC comment feed. Since "cross firing" can be attributed to an underlying health issue in horses, I didn't want anyone thinking this georgous animal had any issues in that sense.
