I personally wouldnt buy a challenge kit for systema, the factory built ones are very well built, assembled, and I dont think if I alrdy decided to invest this amount, I should save few hundred bucks and go through all these trouble and take the risk of screwing it up. also the phoenix is kinda cool imo.

@HamMedBukserne I never heard that before. As far as I know, the systema stops firing because the bolt catch activates because of follower in the magazine. If there is no follower activating the bolt catch, either by removing a mag or loading a non-empty mag, the gun should fire.

ok i have a couple questions. is it possible to switch the handguard, outer barrel and inner barrel out for a new ris outer barrel and inner barrel. if so is the hop up different than other airsoft guns.

@Fattestperson11: yes on the RIS... you can use any RIS. For the outer barrel and inner barrels... you will need to get PTW versions since AEGs does not share the same inner components.

@PeaceWalkerProject if you have the extra money for the PTW then go for the PTW. The CTW is a good gun but not as good as the PTW as of now. It is still troubled with electronics issues. Out of the 3 people that I know that has CTWs, all of then had problems.

why use a 10.8v when you can use 11.1v lipos? Lipos arent that bad (i use the Madbull 12.8v Li Fe Po with my systema). They don't explode in your face and are not that dangerous. Ipods, cell phones, anything rechargable uses Lithium batteries

Systema's can fire without mags in. Notice it was when the gearbox was just open and was not coming in contact with the piston or anything. Systema's do not fire without mags when the whole thing is put together.

Do you have the Red cylinder? you will need to get the gold cylinder. If you like...you canalso buy a Systema M130(PTW) spring and replace the M150 spring in your Red cylinder. You should then be shooting around 400fps.

you can use electrical tape to seal the upper and lower receivers when playing in rain. We've played in drenching rain and our PTWs worked great.

If you feel comfortable with the kit then go for it so you can save money. The PTW is consistent with its fps and range. Range and groupings are great! make sure to adjust hop-up properly and use the same brand of BBs throughout.

i love the m4 more than the mp5 and I REALLY KNOW MY STUFF about putting guns together. So do you think it would be worth putting this togather or to buy the mp5 ptw?

I would go for the M4 PTW. You have more options for accessories and real steal steal ones fit perfect on the M4s. the MP5 has short barrel too... you will just get disappointed with it's range and groupings. It is only great for CQB games unless you mod it with a longer inner barrel.

It depends on the build. If you make mistakes or you are not experienced in assembling... then your PTW will encounter problems. If you have the extra dough... go for the built one. I myself started with an assembled PTW then my 2nd and 3rd ones are kits.
