  • Actually, TRPV1 is a non selective ion channel, with higher affinity to Ca++, i think this work has been published elsewhere in scientific journals and could be an interesting way study the receptor.

  • Is an interesting concept. However, so far I understand the TRPV1 is a Ca++ specific channel. Besides, it looks to me like theres some theoretical problem also involve on the animation. 1. Theres no such thing as a Pain-sensing neuron..theres nociceptors. Pain is a sensation. ..and 2. TRPV1 is also express on non-nociceptive neurons across all the CNS. With those considerations...the QX-314can affect all those neurons in the same way?
