  • Thank you for this video. David Pack's voice is so powerful it's easy to forget what an exemplary guitarist/musician he is, as are the other remarkable musicians in this original Ambrosia.

  • Thanks for sharing!

  • awesome video btw, thank you.

  • Who the fuck are the people in this audience. They have no idea what kind of massive talent they have in front of them.

  • More David Excellence

  • I love David Pack's voice. What a wonderful video thank you for posting it. Hope you like mine with Pack live too.... gosh he doesn't even need a band his voice is so wonderful..... did you only film one song? Would love to see more!!

  • cool tuber mate can tell done w/ alot of heart

t/y for it too bad the band spun out and crashed it in

  • This band is so amazing! It's great seeing them here with ALL original members. Love this performance of this song. It starts off slow then rocks! Love David's voice in everything he sings. His voice is so gorgeous and he plays some excellent guitar as well.

  • BTW, oddly enough, the current Ambrosia (the other 3 original members, Joe, Burleigh & Chris with the newer mates) will be on Jimmy Fallon next Monday, May 2nd.

  • Dave & the rest of the band, MUCH to the chagrin of their loyal following, have had a very acrimonious parting of ways, for over a decade now. I've got pieces of this whole concert on video, but only song fragments, Life Beyond L.A. was the only full song I managed - due to a paucity of charged batteries, natch! :-( As it was one of the very last shows featuring the full original band, I rue the day I didn't pack a better camera bag.

  • Dude! Do you have any more where this came from? Are you sayin David won't tour with the band anymore ? Thanks for the clip. I got on searching for livin on my own or apothacary..... Glad to have found this! Thanks

  • David Pack!! My favorite singer!!

  • Way ahead of their time.

  • yes, bam, too good for their own good. love everything they've done.

  • F^%$ing Awesome! Please come back David. Kyle

  • Couldn't help thinking of a great performance by Stevie Ray Vaughan recorded in Austin before he died. Mind you, I'm not comparing the two bands musically. But watching that video, I was struck by how much the audience seemed to be missing. I mean, they didn't realize how great the performance was that they were watching. The people in this audience seem to be missing the boat, too. I'm just sad that I didn't have a chance to see Ambrosia back in the day. What a great band.

  • SHUT UP STUPID HOOSIER REDNECK HICKS!!!!!!!

  • SHUT UP STUPID HOOSIERS REDNECK HICKS!!!!!!!

  • I hate going to concerts where all the crowd is talking and not listening.

  • @Quantanthead Yeah, dude @ 3:23 the camera panned and there were kids up front about what 10-12 y/o? The people at the concert looked in ages from 10-50+. The "kids" 30 and under have not a clue who/what Ambrosia was. With talented musicians like this, they should be in an indoor venue, where people would appreciate the music. Most of the kids there weren't even born yet, when Ambrosia hit the airwaves, geeze.

  • Nice, Nice very Nice version! than ks for sharing. I saw them do hard core full on version for my 18th Bday in 81. the beginning reminds me of the eagles doing there acoustic version of Hotel California.

  • lost in the friggin supermarket of the midwest, these guys are playing their asses off and Warsaw baldies are sayin to themselves "wish they would play some mustang sally". Indiana wants me, lord I can't go back there.....

  • @kissmygoatass The stage can be a mean bitch. All the right people have to say "yes" to a venue before it is booked. That said, Ambrosia is awesome here, as always, and quite oblivious to the fourth wall (the audience), which, by the way, is you. They ignore you and the "Warsaw baldies" with equal intensity.

  • I like the studio album version, but this is beautiful too, because the keyboards is nice ....i love the sound at 2:00 ... and the vocals too.... nice song...

  • Joe saludos desde España, una vez te envie un email suelo ir a Leon en vacaciones.... greetings from Madrid Spain. a big fan. santy

  • Great video! David sounds awesome. thx

  • These guys never really got the respect they deserved. They are known mainly as like a Hall & Oates derivative, but they are so far above that and are as talented as a band could possibly be. A single album of theirs would contain Prog Rock, Pop, Jazz, Funk, R&B, incredible harmony vocals and playing ability on the same disc, and a band like Phish does it way more lame than these guys and people freak out. The only drawback is that they were too polished and too good for the masses.

  • @BAMAMARV - You said it way better than I could have. Well siad.

  • I love when they start playing electric. I remember listening to this song 30 years ago. Another great song on that album was art beware.

  • I had the pleasure of meeting them that year; shared a wonderful conversation with David and Burleigh. Great guys all; Chris is still "crazy" after all these years! yeah

  • Oh man, who else here knew Cabs? I went to a half a dozen shows with him, his loss breaks my heart.

    Pops

  • David Pack has an amazing voice.

Been listening to it since I was in my teens, but I've never had pleasure of seeing them live.

  • AMAZING!!!! Seeing Ambrosia Tonight at the Wolf Den at Mohegan Sun in CT. They are Incredible in concert, even with out David Pack, although he is the best!! Great video and thanks for sharing.

  • Damnit! I live up in MA. Wish I knew they were giggin' down there :(

Hope this re-union is not short-lived. Just heard "The Brunt" and man do they still have the prog edge!

I heard NNVN when it first came out. I was like 11 and it was all over for me at that point. My whole concept of music was forever changed,

Real musicians, well thought out lyrics, skillfull compositions, hot grooves, complex time sigs.

    A complete band!

  • Never the same without david!!!! He is a

    talented god!!!!

  • wow,

Dave the voice is amazing! I miss Ambrosia together.

    What the heck happened!!!!

  • That 1st album is an AMERICAN CLASSIC...

  • Amazing video with the entire original line up! Are there any more clips from this concert? It looks fairly recent. I'm a huge Ambrosia fan and never miss them when in this area (CT). They've also started doing unplugged shows, too. Incredible talent in this band. If you've never seen Ambrosia live, you're missing one of the best concerts of your life.

  • Kudos. Somewhere Cabs is grinning ear to ear!!!
