  • Such a group of brilliant people who took a risk with the genre and made such an epic, timeless comedy show, cannot be formed again. Yet, in 2011 we are in a desperate need of one. We've had enough of bland and pointless American sitcoms. Phytons, please resurrect!

  • lol @4:15 fork sepuku

  • Can you imagine how terrifying it would be to have John Cleese coming at you with a cleaver? :0

  • @SafieLiverpool It would! His body language is so hilarious when he comes out of the kitchen with the cleaver!

  • My favorite sketch, I'd have to say. It's all brilliant I tell you, you BASTARDS!!!

  • I think it's one of the best sketch ever by the Pythons. :D Love it.

  • "OH it makes me Mad!" :)

  • I work at a restaurant and last week someone complained about a dirty glass. I immediately thought of this scene and totally overdoing it, but realized I would probably lose my job because of it loooool

  • love it when Terry jump on the back of John xD hahahah monty python never gets old xD

  • Eric idle <3

  • YOU BASTARDS!!!!

  • when he stabbed himelf i think i broke a rib

  • 19 people said something about the dirty knife

  • We're doing this sketch in Speech and Drama. Ahaha it's so much fun <3

  • @picklepink97 Man, I have been asking, no, BEGGING my drama teacher to allow us to do some skits for a play. But no, no no no. We aren't. And it makes me so sad.

  • The washing up staff disliked this

  • 19 people were fired during the filming of this sketch.

  • this is brilliant

  • The head waiter fills how I fill about communist.

  • Wait... French waiter in a Mexican restaurant???

  • What episode was this from again?

  • wow, shitty silver must be worth more than i thought.

  • One of the best they did.

  • Bastards!!! XD

  • My god this sketch is pure madness!! I love it!!

  • YOU BASTARD YOU VICIOUS HORRIBLE BASTARDS

  • that fork looks clean to me...

  • Best punch line ever. :D

  • hahaha i love how in the background while all of this conflict is going on they just go on with their dinner without even being slightly curious about the background noise. Monty Python is fucking brilliant

  • the wound!! oh the wound!!!

  • Monty Python is the best ever. Bottom line. Period. The End. Now Piss off

  • 19 people got a dirty fork

  • This reminds me of what happened to my when I told Micheal Bay transformers 3 wasn't that good. Lenord Nimoy came at me with that blade thin sentinel prime had!

  • "Oh, it makes me MAD,"...Yeah, I think we got that from 3:15 and onward.:)

Easily, one of my favorite John Cleese lines for some reason...

  • the 19 people that disliked this complained about the dirty knife

  • that´s on of many reasons why monty python are legends

  • i love how the menus are absolutely blank.

...oh gosh, i really have seen this sketch too many times.

  • Amazing actors, every last one of them xD

  • That hat makes Cleese look immensely tall.

  • immediatemaint!!!!

  • The greatest comedians of this time and all times

  • At 3:27 John's eyes almost look red

  • I'd imagine that's what it's like in a Gordon Ramsey restaurant.

  • They should perscribe Monty Python in leu of antidepressants. They're more effective and much better for your liver.

  • Who are the 18 twits who clicked the thumbs down button?

  • lmfao this sketch is gold, right down to Graham's insistance at the end about the punchline! xD

    Audience: BOOOOOOOOOO

Graham: NO NO NO NO, NO. NO. -offended- xDDD

  • 18 people make me mad >(

  • This is one of my favorite sketchs in the whole series

  • YOU BAAAAHSTARD'S!

  • I love how the people sit in the back, not noticing the entire cooking staff going mad.

  • Back in the day when no-one cared about health and safety, and a man could wildly lunge onto the back of another man who's holding a razor-sharp cleaver and hurl him over a table without anyone batting an eyelid.

  • @RhymesWithFith, what about Graham?

  • When John Cleese shouted his first line, I started laughing so hard my chest was hurting. XD

John Cleese is perhaps the best Phython. No disrespect to the others, they are all great, but few people could pull off the many types of people John has portrayed in sketches like "Interesting People", "Literary Football", "The Architect Sketch", "The Ministry of Silly Walks", "The Argument Clinic", "Dead Parrot" and so many others!

  • omfg, these guys are my EXACT sense of humour<3

  • This sketch reflects exactly how the Pythons felt about punchlines.

  • John Cleese is that Tall ? Looks like a Giant

  • 2,109 people got clean forks instead

  • lucky we didn't mention the dirty knife

  • the people who disliked are the cook, waiter, manager, the man with the dirty fork, his wife, the cook's son, the woman who does the washing up, and eight customers who were cut to pieces by the chef.

  • 18 people disliked this? OH IT MAKES ME MAD!!!

  • isn't this from "And now for something completely different" movie?

  • @sedewakantysta its in that movie

  • @sedewakantysta Of COURSE!.

  • first time i saw the waiter i had the idea of falty tower waiter called manwel

  • @12Metaman here here

  • John Cleese, you will forever be my favorite Python solely because of this scene.

  • My friends just did this sketch. It was so funny I starting crying!

  • Wonder if Two sheds dines there?

  • 18 people have war wounds

  • NOw, I want to randomly walk into a room and shout "YOU BASTARDS!"

  • @FlyingFocs NO MONGO, never kill a customer

  • The 18 people who disliked this are going to get killed with a dirty spoon

  • U BASTARDS. YOU VISCOUS HEARTLESS BASTARDS!

  • 18 people have dirty underpants.

  • 18 people who disliked this said something about the dirty knife :P

  • the 18 people who disliked the video must have had forks up their butts.

  • i love how none of the people in the background notice this scene!!

    gotta luv Monty Python!

  • AND NOW THE PUNCH LINE

  • 17 restaurant managers watched this

  • @Aresftfun

    SWALLOW, not sparrow!

  • THE WOUND! THE WOUND! IT'S THE END

  • oh it makes me mad!

  • REVENGE!!!

  • 17 people got dirty forks

  • @TheDon5736 The bastards!!!! the heartless unfeeling bastards!!!!!!!

  • Never kill a customer! XD

  • uh-oh... Cleese Tantrum...!

  • This is the best Python sketch they wrote. Silly, over the top, funny, and shows whay they thought of punchlines, WITH an actual punchline.

  • YOU BASTARDS!

  • If you could show a person unfamiliar with Monty Python one sketch to show them what they are in a nutshell this would one of those sketches.

  • on new years eve, me and my family had to do a comedy skit for a talent show, and i suggested the dirty fork skit. they had never heard of it so i had to show them it. so then we perform it, and we won the freakin talent show!! i cant thank monty python enough for their comedy genius! (just for the record, i played the chef)

  • there's no 4:56 ?! IT'S THE END!!!!!!

  • Never kill a customer.

All restaurants should follow this saying

  • 17 people don't fully appreciate the quite subtle and outrageous comedy that is Monty Python and it's just awesome when john cleese comes out he was such a mad bastard lol :D

  • 17 people have never seen Monty Python.

  • 17 ppl said about the dirty knives

  • the end!!!!!!!! it's the end!!!!!!

  • NEVER kill a costumer!!

  • @atlasz84 Them too. (We should refrain from killing both costumers and customers)

  • Ironically enough, how I got the Complete Collection was through a completely different method through Christmas...and it wasn't gift-wrapped.

  • "......Oh, it makes me mad!"

  • @SouthernPoint52 thats's my favourite part too!

  • That fork looks pretty damn clean to me....but anyway 3:14 on made my day :)

  • *and now the punch line*

  • 17 people are vicious heartless bastards.

  • Lucky we didn't tell him about the dirty knife

  • Carol Cleveland is/was hot!

  • I wonder how they would react if someone got the wrong order. :)

  • 1:34 that no apologies I have can alter the fact that in our restaurant you have been given a dirty filthy SMELLY! fork... IT WAS SMELLY AND OBSCENE AND DISGUSTING FORK! I HATE IT, I HATE IT NASTY GRUBBY DIRTY MANGY BLOODY LITTLE FORK!!! LoL!

  • I love the way they announce the punchline in advance.

  • This is the best punchline in the history of comedy =o

  • And now... the punch line. XD

  • IT THE END!!!

  • There was light at the end of the tunnel, when this! THIS! XD

  • Comment removed

  • a vast bowl of pus

  • Python are like Tommy Cooper, you can watch it over and over again and still laugh.

  • i like how they use a REAL cleaver

  • @Duskillaz

Or a foam chunk of table

  • When John Cleese comes out, you know shits gonna hit the fan ;D

This has to be one of my favourite Python sketches ever. I swear I've watched it 100 times already <3

  • @xiloveRiverphoenix If what he's saying was in the first person, it would be Basil Fawlty talking.

  • @xiloveRiverphoenix YOU BASTARD!

  • Bwahahaha... :0)

  • the 16 people who disliked this had dirty forks too

  • @Bladepaw18 It's srs bsns.

  • @Bladepaw18 or wounds

  • @Bladepaw18 but theres 17 what about the 17 th man/woman

  • @Bladepaw18 and don't forget a dirty knife!

  • YOU BASTARDS

  • i like how the other people don't even look around

  • if only u could get this kind of service in a real resteraunt

  • The average airspeed velocity of an unladen sparrow is 9.5 m/s if the european and african velocities are averaged out. ;)

  • @Piparkakkumauste & Noewon1: yes, this occurred three or four years earlier than Fawlty Towers, which John Cleese did not make until 1975 and 1979. He and the rest of the Pythons made this in the early 1970s.

  • Excellent early Monty Python :) :)

  • why is it always the tiny things that push people over the edge!?! :)

  • When I saw this on TV, it was so funny that I was crying and really ROFL!

  • 16 people were laughing so hard that tears were brought to their eyes and their vision was clouded, they then accidentally hit the dislike button...morons....

    MONTY PYTHON ROCKS!!!!

  • AND NOW...THE PUNCHLINE:

"Lucky we didn't complain about the dirty knife."

    *groans*

    No. No, no, no! No.

  • This is pure genius. The skit was build up perfectly, starting from completely normal, going to slightly crazy, then to downright insane, and ending in a cheesy punchline. It really is brilliant. Monty Python's the best.

  • @charmeleon16 I think the best Python sketches do that. You start off with a normal situation that immediately begins devolving and gets completely out of control. See "Flying Lesson" and "I Wish to Report a Burglary."

  • ...never kill a customer

  • One of the best sketches ever

  • There's the first line everyone wants. "YOU BASTARDS!" X] Only Cleese could deliver it perfectly

  • my all time favourite monty python sketch! <333

  • NEVER KILL A CUSTOMER!

    Sound advice.

When Michael came out and started going 'The wound! The wound!' I thought I was going to fall off my chair.

  • Please, please, I don't want to cause any fuss.

  • Wonder how many people who've watched the whole episode know what "And now... The Punchline" actually refers to. Anyway this is so funny I could barely breathe throughout the sketch and the entire show. :)

  • @themindandmusic and now, for something completely different! :D ftw

  • @simsxD close, but in the actual episode it refers to "And now: the Larch." How to Recognize Different Types of Trees from a Long Way Away. :)

  • @themindandmusic oh yea! i didn't think about that, lol! i love that one too!

  • @themindandmusic ??? it refers to the end of the scene we can all see... IMO

  • Talk about getting emotional with your work O.o Lmao I just saw this today and i LMAOED so much :D

  • I love monty python!!!!!!

  • no mongo! never kill a customer!

  • this is my favorite skit OF ALL TIME and how to defend your self with fruit!!! xD

  • Now I can understand this. This is parody of "Fawlty Towers" series.

  • @Piparkakkumauste this probably came way before Fawlty Towers

  • @Noewon1 yep. fawlty towers haves many same style sketches.

  • @Piparkakkumauste this was before Fawlty Towers.

  • OMG Amazing

  • ALL this over a fork! XD

  • I love it when Terry come and tackles Cleese. I absoulul love that part.

  • it seems 16 non-human beings who have absolutely no sense of ... well... humanity... have completely missed the "like" button....

  • I LOVE THE QUALITY OF THIS VID! thanks so much for posting it!!!!

  • i love how terry jones tackles john cleese at the end :)

  • i like how the people in the background just keep going as if there wernt a ton of screaming people in the room. these guys are genius. i would love to have seen a team up between them and mel brooks. but they would have been charged with mass murder form all the people who died from laughing too much

  • @CodeLyokoFan9007 Actually "A Fish Called Wanda" which starred John Cleese (who also wrote the script) and Michael Palin actually caused someone to die of laughter. So they have enough blood on their hands already!

  • @aquagrl63 Dang that is kinda hard to beleve. But not that hard. Where did you find out about that?

  • @CodeLyokoFan9007 According to Wikipedia "In 1989, a Danish audiologist, Ole Ben
