Not necessicarily. I loved the original, and still do, but the filler got a little old sometimes, especially when they didn't do anything for 3 episodes, which, back in the day equated to 3 weeks. I like Dragon Ball Z Kai more because it gives us the meat of the storry without dragging it out and making it boring in some cases.
