  • what song is that playing in the background?

  • I'm getting so tired of JROTC people coming here and talking crap about Colorguard. You guys do different things than we do so don't go talk crap about something you don't get. I would like to see you go out and try dancing and moving and spin a rifle at the same time. It shouldn't matter the weight. We AREN'T military. We did however originate from them but it has been changed. So why don't you all shut up and go watch JROTC videos. Not COLORGUARD!

  • THIS ISNT REAL DRILL SO ALL YOU PANSY GET A LIFE A TRY AND DO WHAT JROTC AND ACTUAL DRILL TEAMS DO

  • @JROTCHolzberger get over yourself please

  • @JROTCHolzberger okay not saying what you do is easy but what we do is hard too. its not like we woke one morning and was like uhm hey let me toss a 7. or hey let me do a 1 turn under that triple. or with me let me toss a 4 and catch it in a split. so if you wanna say that this is easy your wrong. its alot harder than what it looks like. but if it looks easy that means were doing our jobs cuz thats what pros are supposed to do. sport of the art is one of the most hardworking sports out there...

  • man wow how about do it with a 13 pound rifle

  • @round105 lol dude dont even pretend you use a 13 pound rifle..drill rifles dont weigh more then 9-10 pounds..theres only a few M1s that way 13 pounds..so quit trying to act tough

  • @venaryhaha i never said i did jackass and it was joke dipshitt

  • @round105 haha it always amazes me how mad people get when you reply to their bullshit comments

  • @venaryhaha who said im mad its just stupid how you would instantly reply to a comment that is meant to be a joke and nothing more

  • @round105 you said your mad in your statement..intentional or not lmao..and it clearly must be a joke cause theres no way you can really be that stupid right?

  • triples are easy :) i have only been in guard for this yr and i can toss a quad :) i love guard

  • Do a triple :D you make it sound so easy haha

  • you should make a vid. on double timing.

  • I can't say anything about drill since I'm not in rotc, but I do have to say guard is pretty dang hard. We have to learn the technique, stay in lines while the band is marching between us while we are spinning six foot long, poles, sometimes having to spin rifles and sabers. If we even graze a band member we are kicked out. During winter guard, it gets much harder. We dance, spin sabers, rifles, and flages, while making it look perfect and majestic, so get off our case!

  • Your a sexy bitch...

  • hahaha you use winter guard rifles real drillers use the real drill rifles not those

  • You suck at catching..... way to puppy paw it asshole

  • mannnn your just mad 'cause you can't do it(:

really and trully, 'guard is probably 10 times harder than drill..

i know it's a lot more difficult than dance team..

we have 2 girls this year that are on our team that were on "tiger dolls", that complain sayin' it's too hard.

    you try throwing a triple...

    it ain't easy..

    it takes time and dedication..

so get off his case, if you don't like it.

then look up ya dangg "drill" video's.

    (:

  • umm... i do drill and i can throw quads with no problem using a 10 pound rifle. im not saying color guard isnt hard just want to say drill has more risky moves making it waaaaay harder to learn than color guard. haha actually i might try out for color guard. i bet i would be the best one there.

  • @thebigbea : You would not. And stop making drill look bad.

I'd like to personally apologize to any and all color guard members on behalf of the hundreds of idiotic armed drillers. As a world-class professional exhibition driller and a former marching member of a DCI World Class hornline, I can attest to the fact that their comments make all drillers look bad. I am sorry.

  • @remington943 im sorry man, u got a point. ive seen the people who practice color guard, they practice really hard to make their rutine as perfect as possible. they deserve thier respect. but by the wayy lol i have been to their practices and i would be the best one there when it comes to moves XP

  • @thebigbea : I don't doubt that - drillers tend to be very micro-level oriented. The individual tricks and moves themselves are generally the focus. That's because largely the individual trick is the effect in and of itself especially in solo or tandem drill. However, you should definitely check out a drum and bugle corps show if you have the chance; watch those guards - you'll find tons of useful stuff! I used to love watching our guard while I was marching corps. I learned a lot from them

  • @thebigbea lol I was in Drill team, and nothing I did in there compared to what i have done in colorguard! a quad is a simple basic for most teams, try tossing and Catching an 8, while spinning underneath or catching behind your back. I promise you, that if you came to one of my rehearsals youd be no where near the best! you wanna talk about "risky" moves...lol go check out any video on Corona Winter guard and tell me you have seen any drill team attempt moves that risky!

  • @maddenofarrell ok ok ok i knw its been a long time since u wrote that comment but i spent sometime with this one girl who is on our schools color guard. but ill admit i was comparing myself to OUR school color guard lol, who sucks haha. sorry, but yea those behind the backs i can do:), throwing an 8 is almost impossible with our rifles tho my friend threw a ten and caught it!!!! lol i just wanted to say sorry colorguard does thier stuff and ill do my stuff

  • wow u do color guard wtf drill is better and u dont spin cardboard u spin a 8 to 10 pound rifle

  • In your opinion drill is better. But color guard is just an adaptation of what you do. It's a performing art...it's no longer a drill/militant thing. So, if you don't like it, then go watch drill videos.

  • Drill is an art as well.

  • man you crack me up! And to shineeyman and SKB266. get off his case the dude's in colorguard not armoured drill team of course it's lighter!

  • So what if he calls it a diagonal catch? In our guard we call it catching it port, not in a 45. It doesn't matter how you word it. The point is that the person you're teaching it to understands it, which anyone watching this WOULD, seeing as he's showing us the movements.

  • thanx. this gave me idea's for my captain routine coming up, wish you'd make more!^_^

  • You seem like a very interesting person. You crack me up for some reason. It's just your mannerisms or something I guess. You're fucking good at what you do though.

  • Badass. Wish I had the balls enough to delve into the whole rifle thing. Air Blade is so much easier on the hands.

  • wow!

    dude i can't find those gloves =P

i want to learn that now

  • @SKB266 that's just rude dude. this is public, people can read that. think before you speak.

  • you really need to work on your free hand

  • Very much agreed if you hold them down longer then you can catch harder...you do a good job boxing out your arms when you catch also... :D

  • yea!!!!!

  • im lovin the music in the background please tell me wat and who sings it

  • Your tosses are pretty tight just watch your hands but other then that it was pretty good.

  • this would have been cooler if it wasnt his school

  • very good student and teacher

  • that catch on the ground was kinda sloppy and easier with a higher toss.

  • awesome video dude

  • shelbasaurous7 and auggiep2002 are 100% correct. Free hands have always killed me as a captain and later as an instructor. I hate bad free hands. But aside from that, if this work shows up in someone else's show, in order to sidestep trouble, they can blame you for stealing from Aglaia, even if you didn't directly teach them. People are crazy. It also is kind of rude to the other guard. They worked hard to perfect that routine and for someone to come in and just teach it to anyone is demeaning.

  • it would have been really cool if he didn't reach up for all his tosses

  • Ugh, I can never get the hand of the rifle. It's more lighter, so I'm afraid to over spin or hit someone- my flag for some reason is very heavy, but I like that way...

  • dont worry im sure you will get it, it takes time and practice but dont be scared just do it my first year of guards i was scared and it got me no where cause i didnt make rifle line the year after that i was not scared nomore and made the rifle line im now out of school and miss colorguard dearly

  • its probabaly not best to teach bad free hands either... Aside from what shelbasaurous7 commented about. Maybe you should tighten up your style, before you give people watching this bad habits.

  • its probably not in your best interest to teach work that you didn't write... that can show up somewhere else... and would be classified as stealing

  • Sweet! Thanks for doing this I'm totally gonna learn this work now! Do you march corps at all? If not you should! I'm with the Colts!

  • People have different names for angles. At my school we call them up 45 and down 45 butt up or down. Different instructors different words and techniques.

  • killa clown...port is actually diagonal...so do some studying hunnie

  • i love the shirt!!!!

  • i love elmo to

  • :53-:57 we call those yo-yos...lol

  • You rock, dude. :D That's all there is to it!

  • um...diagonal???? how about we use the word port catch

  • Hunnie, Port is in front of you. =]

  • I <3 you :)
