and then that's it and you can X out of the window and add the people you want too and they sould show up.  sorry if i confused you, i'm not the best explainer, but i hope i helped! :)

first you on to ichat and then in the top left hand corner next to the apple click "ichat" and then go down to "preferences". then a window will pop up and at the top you will see a lot of options and you want to click on "accounts" and then below that you will see "account information" and next to that you want to click "security". you will see "privacy level" and below that you want it to be on "allow everyone" or "block specific people".
