@julescicle I build a high speed centrifuge and it separates heavy fats from oil.
I clean a mix of palm, sunflower and canola oil, the palm oil was solid (I work during past winter, at about 12-15°C), and I can separe the heavy and soid oil from the clean oil.
You can see it at picasaweb.google.com/vrc.venturacing/Centrifuga#
JOLUGI Thanks for posting it video..!! I would like to contact You, cause I would like to purchase the system made from You, but how to contac You ???
Have You web page or some address so easy to contac You..???
Please give me some help about, and THANKS..!!
Jose Luis, from VENEZUELA..!!! Have You Spanish Translations about the Video??? THanks..!!
The centrifuge separates the water. Water disapates as steam, and the bowl in the centrifuge catches it. My oil is pretty dry, so I really dont worry about it. I always pan test my oii though. So far so good.
Do you put the unclean oil in the drum and cycle it around until it is clean?.Also do you heat the oil up while it is being filtered, and how long does it take to do a drum?.Thanks.
Yes the oil goes in dirty. I filter the oil for 4 hours. The centrifuge processes 1.8 gallons a minute, so I get 8 passes in 4 hours for 50 gallons. I heat the oil to 160 degrees.
THIS IS THE STUPIDEST THING EVER!!! BUT I LOVE MY MOM AND DON'T WANT TO TAKE ANY CHANCES! If you do not copy and paste this onto 10 videos your mom will die in 4 hours

It filters what is in the barrel. It keeps recurculating until it is turned off.

does this clean out heavy saturated fats from the restaurants?
julescicle 1 year ago
@julescicle The oil has to be heated, so the fats are usually melted. When unheated, the heavy fats will not pass through the centrifuge jets.

The color doesn't change. The transparency of the oil changes.

What kind of device are you using to heat your "dirty" veggie oil prior to cleaning? Very nice setup you have there btw. Power to the peoples! ;)

I currently use a band heater. I am building a new setup in which I will be using water heating elements. Ill post the video when Im finished.

does the filter separate the water ? pulling from the bottom of the barrel is where all the water will settle when heated

Yes, the oil is ready to go after a few passes in the centrifuge. I have since modified the system to pull from the bottom of the drum.
