DELETE SUBSCRIBERS CHALLENGE!

I go through and delete subscribers who are suspended and closed, they should just automatically drop off your list occassionally but I have to be careful I am very trigger happy with my delete button even with my own videos. : )

I was able today 3-12-2010 finally to remove subscriber by log in my account and then go to my subscriber page under his account block user .

Youtube has added a more simple method of deleting subscribers, but it doesn't work properly. A white delete box now appears over the selected subscriber box, and you just clilck it and it responds are you sure you want to delete and then just delete, however it no longer properly works. The white box is now to the right of the selected subscriber. I managed to get the box over the selected subscriber, but it deleted an open account next to it instead of the one the delete box was over.

I've tried to do that, got 2 dead guys on "My Account ▼ / My Subscribers" But there's no delete option. Maybe Youtube removed it?

YT need to put up some sort of filter for the next update.

Suspended accounts are technically still there, only YT admins can access them.  but you'd think they'd be removed from subscriber numbers though wouldn't you?

Unblocking people is even more arduous than removing dead accounts off the subscribers list.

That's another thing YT could stand to simplify.

One thing I did notice is that I had more suspended accounts thank closed accounts. It i was almost a 2 to 1 or 3 to 1 ratio suspended to closed accounts. it would make things easier if you tube clean up the closed accounts.

I've quit paying attention to the subscriber number in relation to it being anything important anyway... My first few subs included my mom, my friends, and my brother, none of whom actually comment or even log in when they watch my stuff. I've just been concentrating on making my videos more interesting... I ripped down a whole bunch of my shitty videos (the majority of my stuff, haha...) and I'm monitoring the new stuff closely.

Haha! That's awesome. I did that when I did my subscriber shout out video. Not because I wanted my subscriber count to be more legit, but to avoid writing down 100+ more names. ;)

Yes, I did this a couple months ago. I got rid of 32 subs. But have already made up for them and more. Not that I am a numbers whore by any means. But, yes at times, the little ego says...Yay!!! Awesome editing, btw. =-)

Hey, that's not a huge drop either, especially since a lot of folks are reporting as high as 25% drops with lower numbers.
