Due to the fact these fish are "Filter feeders", which means they are not a "Bottom Feeder" as a common carp here in america... they have very high levels of mercury, so you may be able to board of health specs eat a fish stick per month and stay in a decent mercury and heavy metals range... it may be worse than that.

They need to round up and destroy these fish. I have been on the illinois and let me tell you it was not fun. You need to wear a helmet if you are speeding in a power boat or you risk getting knocked out. There are so many of these fish you can't imagine what it's like by just seeing the videos on youtube. I have seen the big carp jump 15ft in the air its crazy. Even 30ft boats are not high enough for these jumpers.

Theyre not a native fish,some moron brought them here and they choke out the food supply and such for all the native species like trout, bass, catfish etc.. Fish and game is very strict here in the regs but most will tell you they could give a damned less about carp.There is no limit and no restriciton on method of take. It seems wrong to kill for no reason but they are an indirect threat to the native fish :)
