  • Damn! The clothes "SCREAM" 1983

  • I cannot believe Bowie from the 80s does not get the views his talents and musicianship deserve. I was but a wee boy but I knew great music from bad. Bowie was great. Bowie's 80s hits fueled my young soccer career whilst traveling around town to town for games. I should have grew up in Europe...but alas, I am just a Young American.

  • Adoro!!!

  • @xxDrudgeryReportxx I think Bowie looks much better nowadays...National treasure yet still looks cool as a chocolate frog!! BANG TIDY!!!

  • ...and the original, amazing when bands can truly change a cover.

  • He´s a legend

A terrific fucking genius of pop rock music of all times

    Bowie forever.......

  • This cracks me up. They run on stage like high school football players.

  • @iamariarilke yeah, they do--and this is so much better than that.

  • @iamariarilke Then they fuck all the beautiful high school cheerleaders, now that would jack me up, know what I mean.

  • oh god. 3:47 mins of swooning.

    im exhausted haha.

  • this was recorded in BC place Vancouver BC R.I.P Stevie R Vaghn

  • dudes got chops baby!!!!

  • I still can't believe Bowie thinks his 80's music was "sell out" material. This is good stuff.

  • @cardman880 sell out in terms of what he did in comparison to the first part of his career which was blaze a trail...i personally love his 80s stuff as well but understand where he may be coming from when he says this...however still think it took balls of steel to make this album...

  • 12 people like Hannah Montana and Justin Beiber

    DAVID BOWIE LOVE FOREVER

  • I think David Bowie is one of the fewer men than can wear spandex, spikey hair and glitter and still look unbelievably to DIE for. Ugh, I wish I had a time machine so I could snag him.

  • eu amo o Bowie!

  • His haircut looks huggable lol =D

  • people wont be Listening to justin bieber in 20 - 30 years it will be where it belongs- the bin, along with bros, take that and pretty much everything of today

  • Love this song, David Bowie is the man!

  • camaleon forever!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • His best. Love it.

  • I feel like David Bowie could do whatever the hell he wanted, and one day said, "Let's make an album of pop hits..." and thus we have let's dance. Anything he wants to do he can, and it will be amazing.

  • Mindencephalitis

  • why cant music like this be mainstream

  • He's got to be one of the most underrated artists ever; he's got a lot of really serious cuts, and yet I never seem to think of him, or hear retrospectives, or any of the stuff that lesser artists are always in line for...

  • @Icedrunk1 oh no.... justin bieber... all the girls go crazy about him and so do some boys.... well david bowie was justin bieber but that was 30/20 years ago :/ he isn't underrated he is just not really famous like he used to be because we have shit all over the charts fucking shit and horrible gangsta crap and stupid shitty justin bieber shite. so to just to say david bowie was the justin bieber 20 - 30 years ago :)

  • @mixmasterphill lol, plaese don't mention beiber and bowie in the same sentence. You have nothing to prove to anyone. Bowie will be awesome forever and biebers' will come and go. Don't even waste your breath arguing.

  • @jenovaabsolute argh i agree., Im so sick of people comparing the great artists of before to f*cking beiber...

  • @mixmasterphill

try punctuation, some grammar correction and maytbe re structuring of sentences

    theeenn come back

because i did not understand a thing you typed.

  • @mixmasterphill David Bowie is one of music's all time great artists - how dare you say he was the Justin Bieber of 20/30 years ago. That is probably the most ridiculous thing I've ever heard in my entire life!!! You clearly have no idea what you are talking about whatsoever

  • @ketaminemeltdown i do, i meant his popularity was that of justin bieber's with the girls 20/30 years ago...

  • @mixmasterphill bieber isn't popular anymore, i see more hate than i do love for the guy and never see his face on tv. so chyea, wrong.

  • @Slashownz u can see the little asshole on ncis 9-24 and he has a pro-active commercial prolly only shown on vh1. i have seen it twice and i wanted to puke. he has mostly dislikes, but a bunch of little girls think he is a god...the faggot.

  • @mixmasterphill ok fair do's - wasn't very clear that you meant that tho mate lol!!!!! PS - the men loved Bowie too :)

  • oh, bowie.

i don't know what i would do without you.

  • Thank god for David Bowie

  • XD I love how he always looks like he's having so much fun. It's just such an awesome quality in an artist, he genuinely enjoys what he's doing, and that just makes me like it so much more.

  • one of his best

  • I love David Bowie & I'm a kid. :) See, we all don't have rotten tastes in music.

  • @ariellecaramel1e Seems like kids today are realizing that their music today sucks ! Thumbs up dude !

  • I really like this record. I didn't really get into David Bowie until recently, but, he has a long list of good songs.

  • 80's 80's...

  • he is AMAZING!!

  • Why does ever channel that has "Official" and "Vevo" next to it still have a fucking advertisent by Google to start things off. I try to avoid Vevo's punk ass, only to run into this shit...

  • @nfp73redux If you're using Google Chrome, download the AdBlock extension. There's an option in it to disable ads inside Youtube videos. I have it enabled and I very seldom have to watch a Youtube ad. Sorry, Youtube, it's nothing personal--I just don't feel obligated to increase your ad revenue just to watch a 3 minute video.

  • THIS SONG GOT ME THROUGH HOSPITAL :)

  • AWESOME!

  • at the start its bowies inner devil talking.

and hes talking about waving bye to his old self.

    i belive.

  • This is REAL ROCK AND ROLL!!!!!!!

  • what a song!

  • One word, "bloody awesome" :/

  • @mitsumi76 : Those are actually two words...

  • @cougar776 It was kind of a joke, thats why i put the :/ face :P

  • man this song has been stuck in my head for so long but anytime i had a chance to look it up i couldnt for the life of me remember the lyrics, and just spent a good 25mins searching for it as i made a note of it earlier

  • topboy!!!

  • cat stevens

  • Bowie, what a true genius, brings back some great memories.

  • Even though I didn't live back then... I wish I did. The music was way better.

  • R I P Michael Jackson, you may have been the king of pop, R I P Elvis Presley your status has been overthrown

Bowie has always been the King of Rock

  • Hey at 3:29 why he threw the roses out? That was rude : /

  • Fantasize of running down a street to put a stop to my ex-girlfriend getting married in a church to this song...

  • @CitySkin09 you should make a mini movie!

  • @smashingsplendid -- I'll give it a try this fall. If I put it up, you better watch it. I'll let you knw if I upload it. Never though about it but I'll give it a try.

  • @CitySkin09 haha, go for it, I promise I will!

  • David Bowie will never die. In 500 years people will remember Bowie, and the Beatles, the Stones, Marc Bolan and T. Rex, The Velvet Underground, they will live on forever.

  • Fucking superb

  • Omg love david bowie Music....................

  • does anyone no people with different coloured eyes i wanna meet someone with:)

  • i know a couple.

  • i love him : )

  • forget the age difference!!! i find bowie smoking hot!!

  • Bowie's ability, starting from the days as Ziggy, to evolve, taking chances with different sounds as he did during the "Tin," days, gives one pause and take the time to think, yeah, that's why I've been listning to him, going to his concerts, buying everything he releases and always being satisfied.

As has already been described so well below, the purity of each venture will make his music timeless, hopefully allowing younger generations to continue to pick up on his music.

    Peace.

    Rock

  • Eu adoro essa musica, i'm from Brazil!!!

  • great song

  • bowie is the king

  • This song is as fresh today as the day it was first laid in vinyl.

  • @taylormade6700 yes it is

  • catchiest song of all time?

it's between this and "more than a feeling"

  • This song is just too damn catchy not to dig

  • Bowie, one of the few remaining gods of music

  • i love all of the costumes his peeps are wearing, bowie ist ueberdiverse

  • what's with the untied tie and yellow suit? Who was the first, Bowie or Rod Stewart??

    Btw bowie rocks

  • I think people need to stop generalizing about modern music based on what they hear on the radio. There are great bands out there today that make great music, but unfortunately, for the most part they don't get airplay, or if they do it's on a small station few people listen to. However, with the internet, it's pretty easy to find good current music.

    That said, Bowie is godly.

  • @sthenige1 a.k.a. we should try our best to avoid Disney androids, Lady Gaga, and that guy who looks and sounds like a girl.

  • @awesomeguy234564 Yep, and generally avoid ClearChannel radio channels in general.

My overall point is just that too many people throw modern music out the window without trying at all (beyond listening to terrible radio) to find any good modern music, which does exist.

  • @sthenige1 when I first heard stuff like rap (I've literally searched all the rap and post-1999 isn't very good) and the stuff I mentioned, I said, "All modern music sucks!" Then I started looking for modern rock, which has suprisingly avoided almost all the electronics spread by the other modern music genres. Some modern techno is good, not as much of pop though. I prefer 1960s-1980s music still.

  • love live the ubermensch

  • I meant 1:55

  • 0:55 I LOVE how it shifts gear.

  • Nothing like 80's Music!

    Amazing!

    :-D

  • Oh, I modern-love *you* David Bowie!

  • I find it refreshing that so many people from all walks of life and ages appreciate Bowie. Its really amazing! I too hate alot of stuff that gets radio play, yet I am glad that none can measure up to great musicians like Bowie. It gives the rest of us who know good music, something we can alone love and appreciate.

  • Man , i wish i was alive in the 70's/80's bowie is god.

  • "Modern Love" defines the sad story of my life....

  • This song doesn't get nearly enough airplay. I think it's just a snag under China Girl, Under Pressure etc. High quality stuff!

  • @cjwright79 You got a good point--definitely not enough air play--but the songs are about 30 years old. Older than most listening to radio today.

  • Talent, elegance and good looks combined!

  • just to hear the intro :D

  • awesome!

  • What an epic song! It's just so damn catchy...

  • Definitely one elegant bloke.

  • I heard this song at the beginning of "Couples Retreat" and I knew I knew it but I couldn't remember who it was or what it was called and I couldn't find it on the credits etc and it took me FOREVER to figure it out & then when I did I was like "DUH"! I felt stupid being I was an 80's child LOL

  • j'adore cette chanson!!!

  • bowie has been doing it for 40 plus years , and i cant find one record that sounds like the other. how many bands can say that?

  • @vilhelmhowitzer Actually it's 39 years 1964-2003, sorry, but I had to correct you.

  • hands down , the most talented and musically diverse musician ever..............yes ever .

  • Search for Geva Alon's cover to this song... amazing!

  • I fucking love this song and many others by Bowie, Im 21 yeras of age & most modern music is terible. Songs come and go its hard to think of any songs from recent times that will be remebered in 10 years time! unlike this 30+ years later still being discovered and loved by people! dont think people will think the same of ndubs or justin bieber

  • Great song..David looks nice here! :D

  • Modern Love

  • oh yea love them 80,s hits

  • This is one of my favorites by DAVID BOWIE - THE MAN. He and his band came on a stage too film a concert style video before an audience to an excellent song MODERN LOVE. It was he and his band just being themselves and it came out excellent. Entertaining and Harmless. Also rumor has it David Bowie is very fan friendly to fans. Finally, I think to Record Label had him change his name, It was DAVID JONES.

  • @onehundredstocks Yeah, he did change his name, originally it was Davy Jones, but then he found out that a member of an american band called The Monkees had a member called david jones, so he changed his name to David Bowie and that was his name for the rest of his career.

  • HIt #6 rock, #14 pop in the US (Billboard). How'd it do in the UK? God bless!

  • @DaveWollenberg Never understood why it didn't do better

here coming on the heels of Let's Dance and China girl. And it

started out great, leaped into the top 20 in no time, then stalled

there! Maybe the "God and Man" turned people off!

  • His best ever. Love it.

  • LOVE!!!

  • awesome song

  • Hard better the original....this is it!!!!

  • Tony Thompson on the Kit.

  • the drumming. the drumming. the drumming.

  • @ezrhino100 do you hear it??

  • ah the good old days!

  • one of the first music videos I have ever seen- a Classic

  • Timeless. I remember hearing it in 1983, in a Blackpool hotel. I was young - and I wondered why the hell he was singing about a porpoise. Later on, I saw the refrain was "never gonna fall for". :@

  • Always liked this track =]

  • So glad I was born in the late 60's

I was going into 9th grade the summer

    this song hit the charts

Summer of "83" all over again

Loved this catchy tune and he looked

so dashing and suave in his suit-Yum

  • old music will never die no matter what era we grow up in.

  • Reminds me of being a kid!

  • David Bowie has been on the absolute cutting edge of music for OVER 30 YEARS! Think about that! How many other recording artists can you say that about? A century from now, people will still be listening to Bowie. Pure quality and unquestioned genius. Even his lightweight dance numbers are just so great!

  • @Tedisntakidanymore You got that right brother

  • @Tedisntakidanymore not only is it the fact that he was on the cutting edge but also that he was popular for so long

  • This song is one of my favorite. All in this song is amaizing, lyrics, music. everything. god save David Bowie

  • THE THIN WHITE DUKE.
