This song always touches me deeply. Its very fitting I think that this was one of her last new songs. I feel like she's singing to her loyal audiences who states with her til the end. Its all for us.
I always come back to this performance. I remember first seeing it on the A and E Biography narrated by peter graves in 1997. i was astounded then by it and it was only the last part of the song. I was bowled over! I too only wish Judy could have lived much longer and given us more of these performances. I thank god for you tube! it's a miracle to have all of this at our fingertips anytime. God Bless Judy. I hope one day in the hereafter to encounter her spirit.
Truly exquisite. This and "After the Holidays" whch she performed on the same show are the very best of Judy right before the end. Totally controlled vocally and in her movements. Reminds me quite a bit of Billie Holiday's "Lady In Satin" recorded shortly before that great singer's tragic death. Again, I am knocked out by her control here. Nothing sloppy or manic. Stone sober and not over-medicated. Brava, Judy!
On a Sunday the 22nd of June 1969, The World woke up to the News of Judy Garland's death. The news sent shock waves across the entire planet & for the 7 days the media paid homage to " A Great Lady who had the Ultimate Interview"! Judy, Your fans still mourn your passing. I have the comfort of knowing your spirit was embraced by GOD & that HE showed you HIS infinite peace & all that heaven has too offer you. U brought a lot of joy to me & I thank God for creating you. RIP on this 6/22/10
I love Judy here! It was rare for her to sing newer songs and whenever she did, she made them her own.. She is a true Artist.. She never imitated another person she was always Judy and whenever she sang it wasn't in any kind of style but in Judy Garland style! She is the belting Original.. I hope one day someone will post the entire segment of Judy on the Tonight Show.. I am sure she and Johnny chatted during her last Tonight show appearnece aired..! We miss u Judy
Did you actually download my clip (originally posted at boinx12 before youtube deleted my channel) and then re-upload it? I transferred this from VHS myself and don't see much improvement in your version.
Everyone has the right to take stuff off youtube, but it's respectful to at least inform the original poster before you do.
This was and still is one of Americas greatest vocal treasures..Hollywood & show business can be a pressure cooker..I know shes in a much better place..despite the hardships,,,ups and the lows...She was Judy,Judy, judy...Garland...R.I.P.

Who would have predicted that Judy Garland would be dead in the six months after the recording of this program? Nobody would have, I am sure.

Comment est-il possible qu'une artiste pareille, aussi douée qu'elle, soit devenu "ça "?
Pour moi et pour tant d'autres, elle reste tout de même un génie interprétatif inégalable dans le domaine de la chanson populaire.
