Excellent sound I learned a lot on this little lesson. Proper fingering, tempo, and yes improvisational tricks. I don't know why people feel the need to give offense by starting their comment with, "No offense but". I checked out stropheum's site. He's a beginner Bass student. No Offense, but his comment sounded like my G'ma way back in the day when she tried to shove piano lessons on me with the basic practice patterns etc. I quit in three weeks! 3rd yr. acoustic student. Thanks!! Play on!!
No offense but if someone's trying to learn a jazz tune via tabs, they have a lot way to go before ever actually starting a tune. The whole idea is to be able to manipulate the chords and written melody visa vi improvisation. If you can't read the lead sheet, then you can't really get through a tune.
D7 why is on the chords websites i didn't find the same note on the same position, i searched in a lot of sites and it makes me an D7 very different than this .
Excuse me for my bad english , i hope that you understanded why i'm trying to say
@pulseof its a d dom7 without the fifth just take the 5th off those chords and they should sound identical, granted with slightly different voicings and inversions you have to allow for different notes to take dominance in the sound.
Similarly the added 9 chord. Its made up of this (root, 2, 3, b7) missing the 5th.
well, there are several d7's shapes on the fret board and they can all replace the d7 shape given above. just take a damj7 and move the 7th down a halfstep
@Sunderlanding my apologies your absolutely right I think i must have had some sort of temporary brain seizure. 'Hoy A Hamma Howwa Heya' and i'll hit myself on the head with it.
Thanks for the chords & instruction for Autumn Leaves. Presented in a very clear way plus with chord substitutions. I like your instruction. Thank you again!
