I just came back from an Atif Aslam Concert and I'm sorry but the guy is a bad singer. He is able to sing well but not for long. He had to change the melodies of most of his songs to make them more managable live. He was at times painful to listen to.
For the record, I produce music myself so I know a bit... Atif does have amazing masterpiece songs but it should be recognized that that is a result of a producer's direction as much as his voice.

If you consider classical music and pure voices, Nobody in the world can deny that those two are two of the best vocals of Bollywood now. Atif, on the other hand, is a premature unleash. If he got more time to perfect his performance and then came into the fame, he wud be a lot better singer. But for now, I'm sorry, he doesn't belong to that level.

I just came back from an Atif Aslam Concert and I'm sorry but the guy is a bad singer. He is able to sing well but not for long. He had to change the melodies of most of his songs to make them more managable live. He was at times painful to listen to.
For the record, I produce music myself so I know a bit... Atif does have amazing masterpiece songs but it should be recognized that that is a result of a producer's direction as much as his voice.
