Kerri's mix is the shiznit. Although you cannot deny the power or the commercial success globally of the original Stonebridge mixes, Kerri takes the track into deeper and darker territory - the bass, the beats, the chord changes, the vocals bring you back to a house club at 3am. HOT.
wowww! this is REAL house music!....the original is way too commercial!...dont like her vocals at all...kerri is the man...most people dont know what real house is music is...sad...
@captnmidnite Kerri is pure class but no mix holds a candle to the original not even the tonka mix. this is a lounge mix. you'd have to see the reaction of the original in a club to understand. still a great mix tho
this will always be my favourite version of show me love. beats are raw. great chords and bassline that work great with the vocals. its the shit......
this is what house music is supposed to sound like. the original is ok but its far too commercial and tacky the people making stupid comments about the mix obviously dont know that kerri is a house music legend fyi this is the man that mentored dennis ferrer and produced the classic bar a rhythm
I think a lot of people are forgetting that this mix is nearly 18 years old!
As a result, it's a remix very much of its time. It sounds like a lot of New Jersey Garage from the time (Movin Records etc). A lot of US Garage DJs like Humphries played this back in 92 and it was very popular in the MOS too.

Anyone who says this is shit probably didn't even know the fucking tune before the crap 2008 remix was released. Kerry Chandler is a legend in every sense of the word and always has, consistently does and always will out perform todays generic Ket-house shithouses. Clueless quantized drumline bullshit minimal fucking nonsense. Get clued up and learn some history before you type shite on youtube.
I do agree that the original is the best, but I really like this mix! Love the Kerri Chandler deep bass action, I could see myself getting down to this on the dance floor no problem!
Reali dont like it, Just my opinion But the origional made my hairs stand up on my neck, this on the other hand doesnt rly affect/effect me in anyway. Not saying it isnt good, just not my taste, For me it doesnt come close to the origional...
Kerri Chandler is a master of the more darker of remixes. It feels good to hear this tune that now is a London Magic FM daytime staple (urrghhh) in a more "sinister version". During the early to mid 90ies there was a whole bunch of great remixers and producers around: Morales, MAW, Chandler, Kupper, Tenaglia, etc. and they would come up with wicked and irresistible shit. I was too young at the time to appreciate it but now I do. THIS IS SIZZLING HOT!
This gets off to a bit of a rough start but I think that totally adds to its authenticity. Great live stuff sounds just like this when the DJ is doing something new,This mix is awesome when it gets rolling and I agree,at first it sounds a little messy. That cant overshadow how good it is, and you really never know how many DJs were using the tracks rough edges to their advantage In order to appear that this is their masterfully genius creation! Ill bet u it happened more than once!!
This one seems to have divided the community pretty strongly...I know personally this is the shit I that I was more than happy to hear at the club and its total diversion from something on a lame frriday night spesh on the radio is what separates the men from the boys on as far as opinions on this track are concerned!
BTW Anyone referring to the original edit of this track proves my point precisely. This was a good tune to be sure, but renditions like this one are the only way it got into the clubs I was at....This was NEVER A club classic of its day. Anyone dissing this ingenious and distintive style that other people on here clearly recognize, was tearin it up at the prom!
I'm not being funny Housecats, but this is a poor effort from Kerri. The great deep house remixers from Mood II Swing thru Full Intention have always added something sensuously unique to a pop remix, not applied the default 4-4 bonus beat that is the case here, and is so shamelessly flaunted all too often these days. Bring back originality.
Haha.. You really don't know anything about house/electronica, do you!? Please, tell me. If this is crap, what is you're deffinition of something good? But please, nothing too commercial...
This is a good club-mix, you don't know a thing about mixing. maybe it's not youre style of music, it's not mine to. But i can hear that it's a good mix...
House tends to be between 120-130 bpm, which is perfect for house dance. house dancers were known to collaborate with the dj's in chicago, and so had a hand in developing the music. its speed works well for dance, whereas trance simply cannot be danced in a house style. if you like trance, then stick to trance.
what is non-textbook deep house? seriously, i love deep house want to hear what you think is cutting edge deep house. the predictability of it makes it good for improvisational house dancing, kind of like comping jazz chords or soloing jazz. there needs to be a certain amount of "textbook" to make it danceable, so it's good for something. but i still want to hear what you think is good deep house.
i think that many people doesnt understand nothing about deep house specially when they say that this sucks , for christ sake can you do better not even close for shure , this is pure kerri chandler style , and you need guts to make a remix of a classic
if you think it sucks... ok. but it's kerri chandlers mix and he knew what he's done. it;s more or less deeper house than the original but i think it's well made.
Good mix. I've got this on vinyl and can assure you that it is not a manual mute as nomeconocen said! Hmm. Someone is doing that on a pair of decks in order to create a breakdown and badly as I might add as it's out of time.
As for when it was produced, 1992. It's the Madhouse mix and if nomeconocen knew anything at all, it's indicative of Garage House tracks coming out in the late 80s/early 90s from New Jersey. More of a sparse sound than New York. Got a very Movin Records type sound to it.
