  • @bjmensz I will echo that sentiment good sir. and those persons are called scrubs. I'm sure if you play any sf game competitively you will encounter them daily.

  • Compare how humble John Choi is to that fat, twinkie eating bastard Justin Wong who might have a heartattack one of these days from celebrating during a match when he hasn't even won. That's OG Street Fighter for you. Class and skill vs big-mouths who talk shit but can't back it up.

  • a lot of korean players are humble. i guess they grew up that way.

jwong has skill but he gets annoying

  • The whole EMP is competitive.

  • John is a old school animal. Afro is a new school beast. That's the only way to put it.

I have no clue why Afro didn't play his Rog. Dude's Rog is something else.

  • he was using rog in the first match but was getting dominated by sagats tiger spam

  • Seriously how much did he win ?

  • great vid 5* try battling dk12spy

  • How much did he win?

  • he won a rubber duck lol

  • does dee jay's super go through hadoukens on here like it does in HD Remix? if it does then afro could have won

  • I don't know why everybody thumbed you down, it's a very goo question. Yeah, it does, but only on the start-up frames like in HD remix. I know this is an old comment, but just responding just incase you were still wondering.

  • good question, I'm pretty sure in HD it does.

  • Damn, he would have won if he didn't accidentally pause it.

  • did they play any other games on the stage?

  • Lol, all ya niggaz got mad negatives...

  • isit standard rule that if u accidentally press the start button, u will have to forfeit that round?

  • The person who did NOT pause has that option to take the game, yes. However, if both players agree to continue on as is, they can. That's the case here.

  • Why dun they use arcade machines for the competition? i see japan tougeki are doing better in this area.

  • i dont think that'd really be practical, especially since they're right in the middle of a comic con convention

  • Cause they don't have a arcade machine.

  • lol im sure u will. btw vectorman was fucking epic

  • I regret having written that he was a bad player, but I do not like how it was that earned his victory, who is to be debio winning best techniques, I use the google traslator why it is understood another idea of what I write, so many will get angry lol =P

Understand mr.ninja374 and mr.noob lazyhardworker1, I do not speak anything if I do not know the topic. Greetings and good luck

  • ei dudes where can i find the evo tournament i wanna join too?? pls help

    seeyah/tnx

  • Click on the "more" button for the video info and go to the evo2k link that's there. Right now, it's all last year's information, but thwne Evo 2008 announcements are made, that's where you'll find them.

  • the DJ player was in control of that if he didn't screw up by pulling his controller out in the second round he would've won. Choi prolly knows that tho.

  • You have to love all the morons that think they can play a better Ryu than John Choi. Funny how none of these people have ever been to a tournament, or better yet think Choi is "just fireballing". These are the sort of people who when they can't win just randomly decide that the tactics they lose to are "cheap", and get to win all the imaginary victories they need.

  • I agree.

  • I know what you mean man. Everyone thinks they can play a better way with what ever character they choose, but they don't realize that in tournament play alot is on the line and that you can't do a bunch of risky moves or comboes. Just like SDMundo said "Play to win you clown"

  • ahah shiet i remember this!! this was at the comic con in San diego...hah i remember playing james chen the day before at the Omni hotel, and i lost to 2-1..i was very hung over that day..and i played on a controller! that shiet was wild at comic con..good times

  • Play to win you clown.

  • Damn right.

  • Those Stick pads look really chunky, where can u get 1 of those @.@

  • Not usually one to reward poor grammar with actual answers, I'm feeling generous today...

One of them looks like a commercial console pad (Dreamcast or Xbox, judging from the memcard window cutout) Some of the others look like custom jobs. That's the route I'm going. Just get some arcade contols and wire the microswitches to the button contacts on a board from a controller for the console you want to use it on. Easy-peasy. (Though mine's USB)

  • Wow, you're stupid.

  • read again!!

  • plz search more about the player if you don't want make a fool of yourself. it just shows you that you are noob who never heard and been close to tournaments and plays mugen.

  • How about enter in a language school? Your god damn english is AWFUL!! And by the way i'm Mexican too.

  • Ah those were some great vids, man, and I know people were whining about you playing with the zoom and crap, but you said so yourself it was for a good reason.

I kinda wanted Afro to win though. Good match

  • you're high if you think afro was going to beat choi in that set, let alone two sets in a row

  • wow afrolegends would have won had he not had that pause penalte

  • The classic answer: Play to win. Who cares if you do 99% damage combos but never actually win?

  • that pause cost him the match

  • real fighting games?

    wtf are you talking about

    surely not soul calibur lmao

    u prbably like caly fighters

    NOOB

  • how old r these guy's

  • Says the guy that ddint win EVO

  • Quiet, dick lover.

  • You do know that SF2 pretty much defined fighting games as a genre, right?

  • Watched all 10 videos too, some great fights in there. Some fearsome 'Sims for sure. Thanks for the footage man, my only gripe was you kept missing the starts of bouts, and kept messing with the zoom, etc. because you kept pointlessly panning to the crowd between rounds. At least leave it for between matches!

  • I had the same problem on one of my sticks (hitting start while mashing out of a throw). The solution is to take the start button out of its casing, and shave down the bottom of it with a dremel. You put it back in the casing, then it sits below the rim of the button. You can still hit it when you want to, but you won't hit it when you mash.

  • this is why i hate hori sticks, they put the pause right next to the fucking other buttons. Do your self a favor and get a stick from video game central or make one yourself.

  • what!!1 did player 1 pause the game that why he let 2 player kill him that round anyway that was a cool match but i will win when Super Street Fighter II Turbo HD Remix come out ha ah ahhhhh

  • Best 2-D fighting game of all time is Street Fighter II Hyper Fighting, however ST is very solid though, my only beef with it are the super specials.

  • ya great video series of ssf2t one of if not the best 2d fighter ever made imo... those guys have some serious skill ive played some of the best in area and they wouldnt stand a chance vs those guys "_"

wouldnt a good idea to put some kinda hard cover over the start/select buttons? or is that against the rules ]

How would you put credits then heh ?

Anyway, great stuff, i watched all the 10 videos, great players, and the event seemed pretty cool :)

  • sick. sick. sick!!! Love this st*t

  • :( I wanted Afrolegends to win. He was so nice when I played him on Xbox live.

  • wouldnt a good idea to put some kinda hard cover over the start/select buttons? or is that against the rules

  • all the koreans?!?!? VIETNAMESE POWER MAN. I AINT NO KOREAN.

  • All the time at these console tournaments does someone hit the pause button. The manufactuers of console arcade sticks need to put the pause/start button away from the rest of the buttons.

  • For what i've seen many of those arcade sticks are custom made. But there must be some penalty for pausing in mid battle, i mean, you stop the pasing of the game, that can overcome the result of a match.

  • I agree 100% skill. Watch these videos to see for urself..ssf2t is just as good as any other fighter.

  • just a shame then that ssf2t is full of counter picking shit

  • After watching all 10 Videos, I decided to log on to leave a comment. I was rooting for Quoc Hung the whole time, but I do love Choi as well. The announcer did an amazing job, had lots of personality, with great calls and cooperating with the con. It's definatly worth the watch.
