You now what's really cool about this music? They make it look so easy when they play, and yes I know that they have to have at least of century of experience between the 6 of them. Many many many years of playing fiddle. Myself, I only have 32 and I'm not going to even attempt this style, just sit back, watch and listen, good place to be.

Which Liz? Liz Knowles or Liz Carroll? I LOVE them both but Liz Carroll is nothing short of amazing and she is my idol. I had the pleasure of meeting and chatting with Liz knowles, she is VERY sweet. I really enjoyed meeting her.

silly thing to say as only one of them is irish(altan fiddler on right). liz carrol is from chicago, the hardanger and blond fiddler to left are swedish/norwegian. the curly haired fiddler is scottish. the backing band are scottish too. only one tune from that set they played is irish. :)

Actually the curly haired fiddler is Liz Knowles - she is American. The blond fiddler on the left (that starts the second tune) is Catriona MacDonald from Shetland (Scotland). The dark haired girl playing with her is Annbjorg Lien from Norway. I don't know about the lady on the far left with the long brown hair though.

sorry, that's not Emma Hardelin. Emma, btw, usually plays with Garmarna and Triakel. Kind of cool- Garmarna is headslammer stuff and Triakel is all acoustic and traditional.

I'm pretty sure it IS Emma Hardelin. If you watch this video from the same concert you'll see Emma singing, with the exact same clothes and hair as the white-clad lady with the long brown hair. :)
