  • Has this ever been placed into the one piece box you said you were going to do? If so can I see what it looks like? And please what's the order of the tubes 826 driving the GM70? If yes what comes before the 826?

  • @thetubeguy845

Hi Tom, I am working of the chassis right now. The 826 has enough gain and high enough plate voltage to work with the GM70 as an integrated amp. All you need is a passive volume control and your CD player. Don't listen to those who say a high power two stage 845 or GM70 can not be done. Signal voltage of 0.7V will drive this amp to 15W in A1. More signal voltage will cause the 826 to drive the GM70 to full power going into A2. I would love you to hear this thing. ;)

  • @audiobuzz thanks for responding back so quickly. I presently own a 135lb, 40W/ch, Mastersound Reference 845, integrated, SET amp, but I really liked what you did and would like to see it in it's chassis when done.

  • hello very good !!!!

  • With the cost of this amp you can buy the orchestra!

  • Flooting Grooves is the artist. From the Album "Across the Threshold". Been digging your videos for a while. Were you using your Open Baffle or Hornshoppes there? Andrew Randle (NOS valve DAC, self designed interstage split PP triode amps)

  • @SapientPerson Thank you Andrew. Just the Hornshoppe Horns are playing. No sub, no EQ, no crossover or baffle step correction. Good to hear from another DIY guy! The music is just what was playing from my music server at the time.
