they dragged some of the tree into a vault...not all of it.. this is the tree "the chained oak"... they wouldnt put chains on a random tree for no reason nah would they
yeah i guess they wouldent put chains on a random tree, nor would there be a staircase to it, anyway if this is the tree then shouldent it be like a view point for alton towers or something.

no because at the time because it was like a ride and a story i didnt belive it was true because if it were true it sounds too serious to make a ride out of it but after seeing this, i think its worth looking more into.
Fair enough, but the basis on which the Saw films is based is a true story but they made films and a ride off of it. It's worth going to and I agree researching into. Even if there wasnt any real curse over the family, something REALLY freaked the Earl to chain that specific tree. Must be some truth in the legend.
It was the branch they took back to the vault, this is the branch that sent the man mad and made him carry out tests on it. The tree is still standing to this day (if still slightly vandelised), But you can see the tree anytime you wanted.

in hex the story says that they dragged the tree in to a vault
and left it there for almost for 2 centuries
they can't just put that tree back
and if the story was real i sware they wouldent put such a tree
back in the forest.
