@errabascir Some internal wifi work, depending on the chipset. I had an Intel chipset and worked, now I have Broadcomm and does not work. Best thing is to get an ALFA AWUS036NH USB adapter... they are way better than internal.
I'm new to all this, but after a day of walking around in the dark I figured it out. Great guide, I found it helps that when it comes to down loading BT5R1 instead of just regular bt5 when you get to that part. next step get it on the android.
@thewhitelisted Usually a 64 bit PC can run 64 bit AND 32 bit software. So i think it would be ok! But otherwise there is the 64 bit version and the vmware version...
Hey if i download the vmware image and I just want to use the vmware player to run bt without an install, is this possible ? What I mean is , I dont want to install it on my laptop (space problems) ? , Thanks in advance for your kind answers
my vmware is not detecting my wifi card it did the first time and i did everything on this video and it worked but when i tryed it the next day it does not detect my wifi card when i plug it in and the settings are still the same can anyone help??
5:55 u got same problems like me!!! My vmware is not tetecting my wireless(build-in, im using laptop).. if u know about this... please u share me how to do it.. thanks.. I really need help:)
@midnightmarth Oh...and since he already downloaded backtrack its faster once you downloaded it and want to re-download it... it would normally take 3 seconds for a average software to re-install (in kb's) and about 10-15 in mb...but it all depends in how large your files are.
I get the the start screen where it says ISOLINIX and things, but its doesnt have a thing where it says, startx. I'm using the 32 but one, but my windows is 64. Would i need to get a 64-bit version of the BT?
@MrSpraycanproduction You can use it many ways. You can install it on a Hard Drive, USB Stick or a CD. Its just depending whether you have the right amount of space to sustain it.
This kernel requires an x86-64 CPU, but only detected an i686 CPU. I HAVE THE SOLUTION this are the steps to follow 1)star 2)all programs 3)accessories 4)run after you hit run a window will pop up type in 5)msconfig then hit 0k then hit 6)boot en then 7)advanced options and you will see number of processors 1 check the box and put 2 hit/0k/apply/0k it will say you need to restart your computer hit restart and Tats it after restart you can install any 64bits system DONT FERGET DONATION 4 HIM
i have a problem after a press on power and choose the first like what in video and in video after word ready its write ( this kernel requires an x86-64 cpu. but only detected an i686 cpu unable to boot - please use a kernel appropriate for your cpu ) and i am dont understand. please please any one help me.
I loaded everything up but the mouse is way off. So in order to click something to click something on the left, I have to click on the right side of the screen...any help?
Can someone help please!?! I downloaded the file as a torrent, and did everything in the video... Then used WinRAR to extract the 1.9GB file.. But it didn't extract as a single image file like the one in the video, instead it was a hole bunch of folders with various files?
Respond to this video... or should i go for the 32 bit one??? DL speen not too fast here and more importantly...will it even work??...takes much time, the DL
the reson the 64bit dont work though you have a 64bit processor is something in the bios :P
im no expert, but specialy laptops dont have the functions to run a 64bit system virtuelly even if they have a 64 bit processor. download the 32bit as i said and it works fine ;) (had the same issue btw) good luck
@royax4life You need to go to the BIOS setup and activate de VIRTUALIZATION, because is disabled by default. When you do that, your problem will be solved :)
it installed and worked the first time but i turned my pc off and on aigen and now it wont load my VM (vm ware will start and the "rappelz disc" will open but i will have a blackscrean saying isolinux 3.36 and some more text anyone knows what to do?
ok I was wondering something, I have a 64bit processor running 32bit windows XP. I downloaded 64bit backtrack and tried to run it this, it gives me an error pretty much saying I need to be on a 64bit OS, so I boot up my 64bit ubuntu and try to run it on there, it should be working now but it doesn't, whats going on here?
But what if you have a 64-bit system and you download the vmware version of BT5, rather than the iso version?
