Kikyo's has lots of sad feelings that make me very sad about her.

I know Kagome wishes that Kikyo wasn't even there, but Kagome wants Kikyo to stay. Kagome's sad feelings are just like Kikyo's. They both feel the same for Inuyasha... They both love Inuyasha the same way. Kikyo and Kagome are friends but they don't really like each other because they are having same feelings for Inuyasha and they are fighting over him.

Also Kagome doesn't feel much for Inuyasha is because he keeps finding Kikyo..

Even in the flashback episodes, ( 147, and 148, I believe,) they really do prove that although Inuyasha loved Kikyo, she was really only infatuated with him. And, then, she came back from the dead and started attaching all these weird, emotional and personal ties to him that really had nothing to do with him and it just became a mess. Except for me, it was just because of my age - When I was younger, I had always disliked Kikyo because I thought she was "mean" & all that crap. 5 years later, I rewatched the series, and I'm like... woow... I can't believe I thought she was evil ;_;! Of course, back then, I was only a kid (around 9 yrs old) ahah so I didn't understand the plot much.

Kikyo's theme brought tears in my eyes, the song is just like Kikyo, beautiful, modest, brave and yet tragic. Kikyo is one of my favourite anime character. However, I often feel sad for her. She is very thoughtful and caring, but unlike Kagome, she doesn't open herself and show others her real feelings, and that made people misinterpret her and thought she was cold-hearted. She actually saved Inuyasha and the gang many times.

I really love Kikyo she's my very favorite character in InuYasha. Some people really need to empathize her, stop being stubborn and see that she is truly beautiful and delicate inside and out. She may seem bitter at times but she had her reasons and it all seems reasonable to me once I look at the whole picture! Well I can't say much in details since it was so long ago that I last read or watched InuYasha so can't remember much but please, try to sympathize her pain at least, don't hate on her.

I think Kikyo, Sango, and Kagome are this show's most well-rounded characters.

*FAN*Kikyo's haircut is made of win. Makes me think of Yomi, Yuuko, Mio and all those hime-cut types. Sango has that hairstyle to a degree.

I disagree in that they're one and the same. I like to think of them as "individual halves" as oxymoronic as that may be, but more emphasis on individual.

Kagome definitely has Kikyo beat in social perception, but not so much in disposition.
