Funny isn't it? I've been watching for over 25 years (including every Tennant episode) and find Mr. Tennant to be the one actor to have played The Doctor that always seems to be 'acting' and that I can't believe in. His unusual delivery of the simplest lines drags me forcefully out of the story and draws attention to his acting (and the fact that he is acting).

I know that Im in the minority at the moment and if we all had the same opinion things would be very dull.

I am however, looking forward to being able to immerse myself into the story again with the wonderful Matt Smith (he's been wonderful in other things I've seen him in at least).

I simply can't understand all this 'Tennant is the best' stuff.

Has everyone who posts those kind of comments even seen all the other Doctors?

Oh and fancying him is not a reason for thinking him the best.

It may be a reason to get some spectacles, but that's just my opinion.

Yes, I have seen the other Doctors and yes, I fancy him BUT - I had only watched half a series and had already placed him above all other Doctors BEFORE I began to fancy him.

I think he has brought a sincerity to the role, a 'one with the character' if you will, that I have never seen from the other actors.

To me, all the other Doctors were actors portraying a character and some did exceptionally well and some did okay but I feel David took it a step beyond.

To me David IS the Doctor.

@Moongroupie i dont think its so much david tennant but more it was there doctor or i should say the actor who was playing the doctor when they was introduced to doctor who. mine was chis eccleson and i have been through all 3 since the series started back. my personal opinion he did fit the role better than the other 2 from the new adventures but thats not to say there wont be someone else down the line who fits it better
