IT'S TIME FOR ANOTHER EIDOLON INTERPRETATION!!! Tonight, we have Bahumat, who represents Fangs feelings of dread and helplessness. She thinks that she can't defeat her obstacles, protect Vanille, or fit in with Vanille's new friends. However, by weakening (Debuffing) Bahumat, she discovers that even the biggest of obstacles can be worn down, and by guarding Vanille and Lightning (using Sentinel) she sees that she can protect not only Vanille but her new friends as well.
ah ahaha. oh I love your wild commentary Bailly, honestly though, i think the timing was right but the execution of the eidolon scene was off. What they should of done first was have little cutscenes inbetween the hallways and elevators in the facility, showing Fang recapping how she cares about Vanille, then this scene where she freaks out about them going against their focus would make more sense. ^^ ...anyone agree?
Fauna are wild animals. And the fauna on Gran Pulse are VERY hungry. So are the flora. And the fal'Cie. I just realized its basically Final Fantasy's version of Australia and Africa combined. Hooray for combo packs! :D

@KirbyChan He didn't get one yet. It seemed like he was about to but I think it got messed up because of the circumstances. The character delvopment in this game really weirds me out. and I hate it. More so than FF7. I would like this game so much more if they improved on that.

To me it's pretty clear. You seem to think she would just join Snow and the others in simply giving up on the focus and deciding to find a way fight it and the Fal'cie while saving Cocoon. I would think Fang would have difficulty in making a decision like that , especially when the risk is so high that they will fail and Vanille and the others will end up as Cie'th, and that she would be the only one left as well.

He's been powergaming from the very moment he started, and at least in my opinion I find it better that way, he's showing us the game and advancing smoothly, instead of failing some boss battle by a few points and having to do everything again. He's not trying to prove that he's the master of FFXIII, who avoids all "cheap" moves (Why would they add those options if they didn't want people to use them?) and imposes artificial difficulty upon himself.
if I may suggest I find the output of your voice a little too loud compared to the game output. I hear your videos with earphones and I cannot set the volume to a stable level: If I turn it a little up to hear the game sounds my ears are blown out by your voice (expecially when you laugh :-D) and if i turn it low I cannot hear the game dialogues anymore
I like how Snow is like "Our focus doesnt matter!" and everyone enthusiastically agrees and then 2 minutes later Lightning says "I'm fighting this focus to the end. We all are"
In the Final Fantasy games that i have played. there have been some very Motivational speeches from characters. Like Tidus, Auron, Wakka, Yuna, Balthier, Fran,Vaan, Penelo. Pretty much all the main Characters to these games that i know of
I'm fine with the coincidence as wlel - since it isn't a coincidence, if they weren't there somebody else owuld be in their place - it's like saying the poeple crashing on the island of LOST were justa coincidence they happen to be on the same plane - it cannot mkae sense without them all being there.

I can't believe "travelling on your summon" isn't used more in Final Fantasy. Yeah Yuna does the same thing with Valefor, but it remains a cutscene thing. Maybe it's beneath those beasts to play taxi, idunno.
Why do they put the target time at a random time like 24:32 for the fight with Fangs Eidolon? The doom countdown only gives you about two and a half minutes anyway...

Anyway since Fang's character is basically just Tough Girl + Loves Vanille this is about her worst moment (so far at least) because Vanille just said "Sure I'll let myself die (or become a monster) with you Snow" and Fang can't accept that. She'll force Vanille to complete her focus even if she has to beat her and everyone else into submission to do it. I don't know if that's as emotional as some other characters but that's how I understand it.
What i love about this game is how on your first playthrough it will kill you so many times, but i feel all other playthroughs afterwards are much easier seeing as you know the best ways to deal with things and then you can do all the extra parts, that way on your first playthrough you get all the plot in one go, not fragmented by digging up treasure with a chocobo

@Venominous its not shown in a event. remember fangs said how the tattoo is going to change to show how much time you got left. it progressivly changes over the game. basicly at this point of the game the party is basicly at the your post-fucked point in the tattoo. when you get to chapter 12 it changes one last time
When the flying sandworm destroys the airship... What happens to Sazh? You see Vanille and Hope fall, Snow says save them and Lightning and Fang jump out. But Sazh just magically ends up on Bahamut. That crafty crafty pilot.

@TheSpazhero square didnt have a main game desighner. they just have a different one for each game. the one ho left was the guy who made FF9. they still have many other desighners and you proboly havnt playe dmost of the square games this gen or even last gen. theyv only localised like 1/4th of their games. pus almost all their games are underrated that arent FF. GO PLAY GRANDIA 3 AND DAWN OF MAN NOW. their relay fun games with good plot that get hate for no realy legitiment reasons

The game would have reset your paradigms before the Bahamut fight, even If you had the battle team set up exactly like it was for the fight. So no, you didn't waist our time.

To answer your question about the flying to Pulse: Cocoon is a giant hollow shell, completely sealed off from the outside. The only way in or out is through magic, or blowing the shell up. (Which is exactly what happened years ago in a previous war, and why pieces of Pulse ships are in that junk yard area from earlier in the game: They were used to patch up the shell.)
Yeah, the whole "coincidence of being at the place with the fireworks" thing really isn't contrived or anything. It's not like they were all there because they were chosen heroes. Rather, they're chosen heroes because they were there. That's reasonable.
I think Fang's reason for being emotional is legitimate. She wants to complete her and everyones focus to keep Vanielle from turning Cie'th. She said shed tear the sky open to prevent that from happening. She didnt say it in the cutscene, but I think that was her reasoning.
How much i like summons in FF series i still do not like the eidolons/transformers of FF13.........and BTW the accent of Vanille is blowing my ears...it's irritanting!!! I'm not native speaker what accent is that???
It honestly can't be any worse than everyone happening to be raised at the SAME exact orphanage and all remembering at the SAME exact time. I don't think connection wise you can't get any worse than Final Fantasy VIII.

See, I always thought Fang had "Lightning's persona," in that she thought so single-mindedly that Bahamut (somewhat of a guardian angel) had to give her a push in the right direction (Odin did the same thing in a similar scene). So, when she turns on the group, he showed up. And, I always thought Vanille became "serious" because she dropped the "stupid" facade after unveiling she (and Fang) were l'Cie. She was acting for a cover.

I love Fang, Vanile, and Lightning as my party. With the Aurora Scarf and Sprint Shoes on everyone, and in SAB/SAB/RAV. Then, I just use a situational paradigm. I know Vanile's a better saboteur, but I love having about 8 debuffs on an enemy after 1 round. With my tactic, I beat the third to last boss in 1 minute 17 seconds

To answer your question about the flying to Pulse: Cocoon is a giant hollow shell, completely sealed off from the outside. The only way in or out is through magic, or blowing the shell up. (Which is exactly what happened years ago in a previous war, and why pieces of Pulse ships are in that junk yard area from earlier in the game: They were used to patch up the shell.)

So all you have to do is use STEELGUARD.

Yeah, the whole "coincidence of being at the place with the fireworks" thing really isn't contrived or anything. It's not like they were all there because they were chosen heroes. Rather, they're chosen heroes because they were there. That's reasonable.

I think Fang's reason for being emotional is legitimate. She wants to complete her and everyones focus to keep Vanielle from turning Cie'th. She said shed tear the sky open to prevent that from happening. She didnt say it in the cutscene, but I think that was her reasoning.

It honestly can't be any worse than everyone happening to be raised at the SAME exact orphanage and all remembering at the SAME exact time. I don't think connection wise you can't get any worse than Final Fantasy VIII.

In THIS game, Fang and Vanille were in Bodhum. The others were simply caught up in the Purge.

See, I always thought Fang had "Lightning's persona," in that she thought so single-mindedly that Bahamut (somewhat of a guardian angel) had to give her a push in the right direction (Odin did the same thing in a similar scene). So, when she turns on the group, he showed up. And, I always thought Vanille became "serious" because she dropped the "stupid" facade after unveiling she (and Fang) were l'Cie. She was acting for a cover.
