@OtakuKing29 They're two albums you have to spend plenty of time with and sit down to let every detail soak in. Of course, Something Wild is marred slightly by production quality, but the first 2 IMO will never be surpassed. The neoclassical influence, the brilliant songwriting craft, the incredible keyboard work (both solos and atmosphere), Hatebreeder and Something Wild have it all in those regards.

This album is much better than the two previous ones (Are You Dead Yet? and especially Blooddrunk). Guitar riff kick ass on this album but I think that keyboards are slowly dying in Children of Bodom, I can see this keyboard diminution in their music since Are You Dead Yet. I don't know why but it's bad. Well even if RRF is good, Hate Crew Deathroll is for me the best album of COB

I hate people that can't stand change. If you like their older stuff, stick with their older stuff. Personally, I think this was a step in the right direction. It's a new sound and pleasing to a new audience, as well as the true die-hard fans that love their music. However, the only downside was all the effects used on his vocals, but that can be dealt with.

@skate4lifepro I don't know where your getting your info but its definately not pleasing the audience. The majority of the die hard fans usually listen to the first 4 albums while the comercially active listeners will listen to this just because this is what anyother metal band sounds like nowadays. I will agree that his voice has suffered along with the guitar solos and the overall music composition.

@bokprop420 No, they weren't 'better'. They were different, they were neo classical, a band can only do that about the amount of times that COB did it, maybe could have squeezed one more in there. Eventually, playing the same shit, over and over, gets lame and boring. Like Dream Theater, or Iron Maiden. Is it more pleasing to the ears? Yah I guess so, but calling change, progression and development within a band 'worse', is no good. I love this band so much, it's painful. A fan boy I might be.

you cant compare FTR to this. 2 completely different styles of music. its like comparing Cannibal Corpse to Rhapsody of Fire saying which is better. It all comes down to a persons preference. I loved FTR for the guitar work, but i appreciate this more for the entire writing.

This album is what i would expect from an unfunded indie band in my city. it is absoultely shit, at least i know Amon amarth won't pull something this shitty with their Surtur Rising.

wasnt a fan of SW, and neither was Alexi. he didnt want to be another Malmsteen clone like everybody else. thats why they slowly changed their sound to what it is today. Im hoping the Amon Amarth album wont be shit, i didnt like the 1 song theyve already put out, and theyre fucking awesome.

@Arthur86ish Bodom rocks everytime and fuckin hard man !!! but bodom songs like: needled 24/7 , lake bodom , bodom after midnight... they were more melodic heavy metal and i just LOOOOVE it.... But yeah, if someone true heavyhetal fan dislike this, I have only one thing to say . F-U-C-K Y-O-U !
