Gene Watson - Maybe I Should Have Been Listening

I requested Gene to do this live, and he said he couldn't do it. Either the band didn't know it, or he had forgotten the words (he didn't specify the exact reason). I guess he just doesn't get that request too often, but I think this is great song.

@lonniebiz Sometimes he doesn't have the rights to a particular song. I was at a concert in the 90s and he wasn't able to sing songs off the Back In The Fire album then. It's changed since.

The Guy who wrote this is one of my mentors. And my best friend on God's green earth .Thank you Buzz Rabin for such another great song . And thanks to Gene for doing a great job. You all should hear Jessie Colter's version or maybe Clinton Gregory's of this song.

All I can say is thank goodness for You Tube and the people like you who put time and effort into posting these clips. Without people like you, there are others out there who would not get to enjoy true country music the way it should be sung. It is a shame that we can't hear this music on stations today.
