Fix iTunes does not recognize iPhone/ iPod Touch (For Windows 7/ Vista/ XP )

My itunes keeps saying: Drivers for the ipod are not detected please uninstall itunes and reinstall. And ive already done that like 20 times and it still wont work. HELP!!!

If this doesn't work for you guys. Try this:

Go to start.

In search, type "services".

Look for Bonjour. Right click it, properties and set the drop down menu from manual to automatic.

Find apple mobile device, left click it, and hit "start" in the top left corner.

This worked for me.

@tripethreatMD me too, I think it is the software problem, because when I boot my iPod Touch to DFU mode, iTunes does find it, so just restore your iPod back to factory setting & it should work

@sandraend Why? Everything is automatic on a Mac. iTunes recognizes your iWhatever as soon as you plug it in. It's only Windows that has to be fiddled with to get anything to work.

@fletch204 Connect your iPhone to PC, then press the power button and home button at the same time, your iPhone will go to recovery mode. Launch iTunes, it will detect your phone is in recovery mode or something, then download a firmware in your computer, then press shift and click "restore" button in iTunes, wait the iPhone finishes the restore progress. Tell me if its not working. Hope this help you

I tryed and tryed tones of times! It says this everytime. Error 1053 the service did not respond to start or control request in a timely fashion. What the heck does that mean?!!! Timely fashion? I think you've ffixed my ipod classic 5.5!. I've spent two weeks trying to get windows 7 to see it. I've tried every fix on Google. Dude, it ain't worked. The iPod is meant to appear under the 'Devices' heading, right? Because it doesn't. Also whenever I click on 'File' it won't let me click 'Sync iPod'. This happens with both my iPod and my brother's iPod, so neither of us can get any more music onto our iPods. I was able to put music on just a few days ago, so this is a very recent problem. The computer recognises the iPod, but iTunes doesn't. iTunes also takes ages to load, so I assume the problem is with iTunes.
