Arguing over which Bond was better is pointless, but if you want to argue which one is the most like the Bond from the novels, Daniel Craig will win that argument EVERY time.

Casino Royale is, lets face it, maybe one of the very most realistic Bond movies to date. I just loved it, and Daniel Craig isn't so bad as James Bond. But still, my number 1 movie is From Russia With Love and on 2nd place is Casino Royale. :)

If I compare Daniel Craig to any past Bonds, he is close to Tim Dalton character, but overall he is quite most different than any other and most real life acting, but we got to come back to James Bond with dark hair and women weakness. Craig is most realistic so far, but not most realistic James Bond.

@magicblanket Well. they started off with a Scot, and have had a Welshman taffy, and even an Irish eric, so I thought a such person would be the next move for the James Bond franchise. Things move on. Will Smith? Nah, his ears stick out too much. Denzil Washinton? Too yankie. Got to be some future butch actor from Sarf Lahndon. Hope one turns up. And bollocks to PC too.
And it is said Daniel Craig has quite a bit of welsh blood in him, as well as scottish, as you can tell by his surname.

Casino Royale is, lets face it, maybe one of the very most realistic Bond movies to date. I just loved it, and Daniel Craig isn't so bad as James Bond. But still, my number 1 movie is From Russia With Love and on 2nd place is Casino Royale. :)

@Spyflugan91 I've said it a million times, Daniel Craig comes in a close second to Sean Connery, mainly because you can't beat the original. Brosnan wasn't too bad. Lazenby didn't get a chance to break into the role, and Dalton was okay (again, couldn't break into it). I couldn't stand Roger Moore (he overstayed his welcome).

my 5 favorite craig movie roles after 2000..the mother 4points from 5,casino royale 4/5,road to perdition 3.5/5,defiance 3/5 and finally munchen 2.5/5 so total points 17 from 25..im very critical so i dont thing many actors would get this high points..i want to see other people do list like this too so go imdb or something like that and watch what movies you see from him on 2000 and do the list heh bye

If I compare Daniel Craig to any past Bonds, he is close to Tim Dalton character, but overall he is quite most different than any other and most real life acting, but we got to come back to James Bond with dark hair and women weakness. Craig is most realistic so far, but not most realistic James Bond.

Not since Sean Connery has an actor filled the Bond role so perfectly. I'm surprised to see the Pierce love here. I grew up with the Peirce Brosnan movies and although he did a great job, he can barely hold a candle for Craig. All of you will be remembered once again once "Bond 23" comes out, and we can wipe Quantum of Terrible out of our minds.

When people say "X is better than Daniel craig" It's fucking ridiculous, to put it frankly.
'better' doesn't measure anything... It could refer to acting, personal preference, or how well they interpreted the character of james bond. There is a clear division in the Bond fans ; those who preferential the pre-casino royale, and those who preferred it afterwards.
Daniel craig was the best actor, undoubtedly, whereas Sean had the closest character to Ian flemming's description.
