This guy is not bad himself. If the song had been originally released with them doing vocals we may have never know any different. But, since someone else did do vocals it would be hard for anyone else to re do this song and sound right. Oh, well!

While it's ok to lip synch on a live performance, it's better to have real vocals. But it's the fact that the producer used different vocals than what were published and credited on copywritten material. Of course when things are in writing it makes it a basis for being illegal or not. The VMA performance in 1990 was the visual aid used to prove and reveal that Milli Vanilli lip-synched on the album. And the fact that they studied the different live show recordings they were identical.
Real tragedy is that Fab could actually sing rather well. But cheating the fans then, boo. CDs cost a lot back then, so, yea, I STILL want my money back!!!

When the producer told of his true intentions 4 them, he had tricked them already in2 signing a German-language contract (Fab did not know German) without managers or lawyers & give them money, which was a label advance, & they were so poor that they spent it, so they really had no choice but to oblige 2 the lip-synching. It was why Rob & Fab had 2 finally push him 2 tell the press that they didn't sing because they couldn't break out of the contract

I think that the biggest injustice to these young men is that less than 20 years later it became so common place and accepted for medeocre acts to lipsync, not to mention the 1996 invention of the "autotune" computer program.
I don't consider anything autotuned to be a person's "own vocals". They are lip syncing to a computer generated voice and to me that is no different than lip syncing to someone else. I do admit that my comment didn't make my point completely clear, though.

@urmo345 Fab has publicly stated Rob was healthy and did not do drugs before the whole bad incident happened. A Fab has stated, you can't do drugs and go to the gym and have a body like that -they worked hard at looking good which meant healthy eating. Yes, they did party hard, but neither of them was an addict. It's too easy to automatically assume a BLACK man is/was an addict due to stereotyping. We weren't in his shoes, nor suffered the humiliation which might make anyone do suicide.

Regardless if they lip-synced or not, bottom line is that a human life ended. Okay, he didn't have to die or take his own life, but for whatever reason, he did. It's a tragedy, a real shame. The embarrassment & shame of being discovered a fraud wasn't enough to warrant committing suicide. Eventually, people would move on, & those who didn't were not worth losing your life over! @balancedesign2010 they didn't use the original singers because they didn't fit the image the producer was trying to portray ( plus they were all ugly lol) and fabrice and rob couldve if they had voice trainers during the whole time they were pumping out these songs that werent theirs... fabrice can blow now but too bad about rob.. the real milli vanilli released albums and hit singles overseas like europe and switzerland and france .

While it's ok to lip synch on a live performance, it's better to have real vocals. But it's the fact that the producer used different vocals than what were published and credited on copywritten material. Of course when things are in writing it makes it a basis for being illegal or not. The VMA performance in 1990 was the visual aid used to prove and reveal that Milli Vanilli lip-synched on the album. And the fact that they studied the different live show recordings they were identical.

When the producer told of his true intentions 4 them, he had tricked them already in2 signing a German-language contract (Fab did not know German) without managers or lawyers & give them money, which was a label advance, & they were so poor that they spent it, so they really had no choice but to oblige 2 the lip-synching. It was why Rob & Fab had 2 finally push him 2 tell the press that they didn't sing because they couldn't break out of the contract

I don't consider anything autotuned to be a person's "own vocals". They are lip syncing to a computer generated voice and to me that is no different than lip syncing to someone else. I do admit that my comment didn't make my point completely clear, though.
