Does anyone know if it really happened and if so in which game it did??? Also I am putting together a long highlight reel of Mirza's great plays but I need some more fancy passes (behind-the-back, through-the-legs, around-the-neck etc.) to make it complete. If someone has any more game footage to send me or post here I will send you the very first copy of the highlight reel when it's finished in a few weeks (hopefully!) Thanks for the memories.

I have heard that the game between Varese and Real Madrid ends with a two-on-one fast break and that Delibasic fakes a pass behind his own back and then dunks two-handed but I have this game and it does NOT feature this incredible move at all.

I grew up watching Pete Maravich play many times with the Hawks and Jazz and actually met the lovely man in person and I can honestly say that Delibasic is the closest player i've yet seen in style, looks, physique and grace to the great "Pistol".

@Antares070 Por fisico, por estilo de juego e incluso por su tragica enfermedad es el jugador mas parecido a Maravic que ha existido. Pero Delibasic ha significado mucho mas para el baloncesto europeo de lo que el gran Pistol Pete supuso parea la NBA. Don talento tranquilo era un jugador excepcional, un genio que lidero como nadie al Bosna, maravillo con Yugoslavia y luego nos hizo sudar tinta a los cules. Inolvidable.

The reason Bosnia and Hercegovina is doing so bad in basketball at the moment is basically due to the fact that all the generations that are alive now have been through the war in `93... just wait till we get a generation that hasn't experienced war and has been able to play basketball on the streets without the fear of stepping on a landmine ;)

Drazen Petrovic was also a good basketball player,it is hard to compare Mirza and Drazen they both played different,and they were different generation, my respect to both of them..THEY WERE EXCELLENT PLAYERS!

Mirza Delibasic was one of the best basketball players in the world,even though he played as an armature player, he could of end up playing professionally in NBA at that time,but he didn't need to,he was extraordinary player he controlled the game well,and his shooting skills were excellent...REST IN PEACE MIRZA

I don´t mind what people say. Mirza was better than Petrovic. I´ve heard diferents views of his former teamates at Real Madrid and all of them are of this view.
