  • Thumbs up just for using Ulrich Schnauss as your music track.

  • SHUT UP AND TAKE MY MONEY!

  • OH lord!

If this is not available in stores soon, I don't understand shit!

  • Amazing you got it to such a small size, really cool.

  • WHERE CAN I BUY?!?!?!

  • At least put a little clock in the backround

  • @SporeFan01234 if you look the time is the score

  • think you could make on for me but displays my name at the top and has time underneath? if so how much would it cost, My Name Is Andrew :-D i really want one but don't have the time and tools. i work with electronics quite a bit but i never have the right stuff at the same time.

    Thanks Andrew Cline

  • a Question. Does the score have the function of show time? and did you make the animation to last 1 minute then to let one of them to score point to change the time?

    sorry my bad english

  • Is it in stores now

  • you need to put 3 buttons on it

    1. play

    2. up

    3.down

thats all you need to play pong

  • So the ball ricochets off of a paddle each second, and it misses to increase the hour/minute indicated by the scores, right?

If not, that sounds like a good idea, I guess.

  • this is mind blowing i love it and i wish i could make one :)) im quite into the arduino so i guess it might be possible for me.

  • This is epic. MP NOW!!!

  • make one I can control and I will be your biggets fan. make it under $100 dollars and I will be your first customer.

  • Can it play Crysis?

  • so does the score display the time?

  • Heh, Game and Watch. :D

  • can i buy one? if so, how much?

  • hey i am working on porting pong to my mobile phone i dont know if you have any knowledge in java or graphics etc. but any help would be appreciated thank you

  • you should make a big one for a wall I would definitely buy for my apartment and I'm not that big on video games. Its just cool.

  • Dude this is fucking awesome!

  • ohsearching for a person who will act like a man when the time is right

  • can you actually play the game on it?

    cause that would be cool

  • I NEED that!!!

  • useless

  • See theres a guy who loves pong xD

  • That's an amazing piece of work. It take it this is just a display. There are no controls, so you can't actually play the game?

That's a lot of work to make a watch. Good job!

  • You made that? That is totally awesome, very well done indeed.

  • If you want to know anything about Nooka watches click on my channel have unboxed a couple of Nookas so you can see the watch all around

  • i see this at maker fair like 2 years ago, still waiting.

  • wow, just wow

  • Who's playing?

  • ZOMG! i want!:(

  • stupid!!!

  • Love it!!! Make it sell it. Good job.

  • so you cant actually play pong with it? :(

  • they should sell this.

Me: Oh shit the ball just went out of court

    Teacher: What?

Me: Ooh just thinking about tennis (but I'm actually playing Pong)

  • That is awesome!!! Do they even sell that anywhere? If not, they should most definitely!!!!

  • awesome work man! looking for a job?

  • Thanks! I was looking for a job (the startup I was at couldn't find traction in this market :-( ), but I've got a fun job with another little startup now. Hence, not much progress on the watch because they're keeping me really busy!

  • good 4 you man! where are you based at?

  • Boulder, Colorado. It's beautiful here!! But, I've lived all over, too...

  • @maushammer So, like near sparkfun?! That's sweet!

  • I WILL BUY ONE.

  • Dude... That is sick!

    ... Sell them!

  • how do you control it?

  • Its not a game the computer tells you the time with the game puntuation example:09:13

  • I'd hit it (:

  • You should get these into production, i want one.

    excellent watch.

  • Thanks, for the, uh, complement. Yep, there are single-chip pong games. They are bigger than this entire watch, require an NTSC-compatible TV, suck down power like no tomorrow, and you still would have to make room for the controllers & speaker. But, just plopping one of those in to a watch would be lame compared to building it from scratch, right? Engineering is all about compromises - if there was a better solution out there, someone would have already done it.

  • Yeah, I've seen how big some of those chips are, but I do think building it from ttl ic's is more fun and a great way to learn about electronics.

  • @huntpivot2 How is this an Epic Fail? It's a pretty awesome watch you fucking idiot,

  • @MO3iusONE

What? I never said anything about epic failing...

And if I did, replying to 20-fucking-year old comments isn't exactly that... y'know

  • win

  • YOUR WELCOME !

  • *I LOVE YOU *

  • YOUR LIFE IS A FAIL !

  • aww and so is your life !

  • god please team up with someone to produce these!

    awesome!

  • heyy.. i really like this and i want one sooo bad so plzz can i buy it or can you tell me somwhere i can get one ;) thanks.... plz get bak 2 me :D x

  • i want one that tells time !!!!

  • it does tell time. look at the score.

  • How much would you sell one of those for?

  • you are my hero :D

  • The really cool thing about the type of display you are using just might be that you could quite litteraly create any form of visualisation to display the time.

It's the kind of thing digital watches need to stand out just as much as the clockwork of mechanical ones. :)

  • need accelerometer

  • This video was posted in 2007. Why hasn't anyone produced these for sale?! If it was a little thinner and had a nicer case, it would sell big!

  • will u sell it?

  • that would look amazing if you had the points being the actual time!

... or perhaps that's what you were thinking all the time...?

  • awesome job man. would be cool if these would be put into production.

  • sellmeeeeeee oneeeeeeeeeeeeee plaseeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee =(((((((((((( jejeje

  • why is this?

  • I want!!!! hehehe... Very nice

  • they had space invaders watches in the 70's

  • how do u play?

  • u dont !

  • That thing is awesome. It would probably cost thousands of dollars though.

  • FREGGIN AWESOME!!!

  • holy shit =O

  • I WANT THAT! SO AWESOME!

  • thats probably the most unique watch ive ever seen...

  • Really Sick I know its a prototype but hey would willing to building more and selling because im very interested.

  • the question is, how do you set the time in this thing?

  • There is a button on the charger that lets you set the time. I'm also playing with the idea of the charger automatically setting the time from the internet.

  • Comment removed

  • That is simply amazing. And bonus for the Ulrich Schnauss soundtrack.

  • Best. Gadget. Ever.

  • This is the sickest watch I've ever seen... What i wanna know if its made forever one, and how much is it???

  • Thanks! It's still just a prototype -- I'm working on making a batch of similar watches, but I don't have a schedule for that yet (my day job keeps me pretty busy). Also, be sure to check out my second version of this watch in the video responses - I think it looks even better than the Pong version (and, yes, the new one will play Ping Pong also)

  • Thanks this really was a clever project you have done, looked at your website as well and the Nixie Watch...hey and I can get a freebie too with Krusty labels for my AA batteries, might use them as the shrink wrap is beginning to split on my rechargables! All very interesting! You are very talented...!

  • Thanks!

  • I want to order 10 of these. You must sell them. Id do anything for you to upgrade the battery life 2 :P

  • that thing is so cool. I would buy one!

  • YO! Have you contacted tokyoflash dot com with this!? I have spoken with them before. They are open to outside ideas. Contact them, and they will provide you with a NDA. With your level of development I am sure you have a lot to bargain with. I would LOVE to see this out there man. Great work!

  • Rad!!! Please make me one!!! Pretty please? How much?

  • lol, dos not tell time but i will buy one just for the fun of it....

  • Does it tell time? Cause if not, you should program it so that the score is the time :D! So like every minute the left side loses so the score goes up a minute.

  • Dr - Yep, it tells time just like you said. Also, the score is at the bottom of the screen for AM, at the top for PM. This also helps the OLED not burn in.

  • You should send this to a electronics company

  • He used one of my favorite Songs. Ulrich Schnaus - On My Own [Sasha remix] - from Sasha's album Involver.

PLEASE MAKE THIS WATCH AVAILABLE FOR SALE!!

  • you should put this into mass production, I think it would be a rather popular product.

  • This is awesome. Please put me in line for watch #2.

  • gimmey

  • OH WOW. i'd so buy one if it didn't cost an arm and a leg. but i'm betting since you aren't even done with the first one, this would cost an arm, leg and a kidney.

    wonderful, beautiful work though!

  • couldn't afford a decent casio?

  • what type of processor is that?

  • The processor is a TI MSP430F2013. It's easy to program & is very low power (<1 mA animating, a few microamps only keeping time). The OLED draws far more current than the processor. The code is in "C".

  • Keep with it. It's a catchy idea. You'll sell a few of those.

  • that looks sort of like my tv watch

  • it's would be thery funny if @ 23.59 the display show "Player 2 wins" and restart to 00.00 hiihihihihihi

  • Just replying to the nice comment you left from my podcast which mentions this video :)

    Thanks for the tip!

  • when the minutes or the hours change, the player make the point?:)

    keep a good work!

  • i want one of those!but doesnt the battery gets a short lifetime because of this??

  • It lasts only 33 hours. I'm building a cradle so that I can recharge it every night.

  • I want one... (with a button to turn off the screen :P)

  • I think thats a good idea and instead of it having rechargable batteries it should just take normal watch batteries

  • ...and have a screen on/off button.

I love game-wristwatches and have a good collection.

this one is great and I'd love to see this or something like it get produced,

can you contact me with an email address or something?

  • Very nice :) Does't it lose on hour/minute changing ?

  • The music is fantastic.

  • That's incredible! How long did it take you to do that?

And what music did you use for the video?

  • It's called "On my own". Google for "ulrich schnauss" and click on download. com

  • It'd be good if u can either watch the game or play it. :)

  • Very very sweet. If I saw this for sale, I'd buy it. (If I could afford it, of course, which is unlikely!)

  • When are you going to release the plans to make our own? This watch is awsome! I've alway wanted to make a watch from scratch and you figured it out.

  • Thanks! I'll be making improvements to this watch for the next couple weeks. Then I hope to clean up and release the plans before I starting on version 2.

  • Fantastic. You're a badass!

  • Cool video! Great watch!

  • wow, thats pretty darn impressive dude.

  • This is an incredible project, and I can't wait to see it finished.
