Has anybody else read Bill Bruford's book? He doesn't speak too kindly of his time in Gong and actually throws a little bit of an insult at Daevid Allen. I can understand if he wasn't too fond of the music, and to be honest, although he's one of my favorite drummers, he didn't seem to fit in too well with Gong's style.
This is awesome! I never knew Bill played with Gong! It's crazy I got into all these different artists and they seem to have all played with each other at one time or another. Bill played with Gong, then Allan Holdsworth played with them, then Allan played in Bill's band, Bruford.
@JimSVoit check out soft machine they almost ALL played with Gong at one time or another. Holdsworth was on Soft Machines album Bundles! Other bands in this mix are Caravan and even Pierre Moerlen's Gong which was just Gong without Daevid Allen. CHECK THEM OUT.
@ste8636 If you like versions of songs where the drummer hasn't heard the track before, then I suppose you'd think that. No one can get anywhere near to Pierre Moerlen's drumming, especially on this.

I agree. Bill Bruford is a good drummer but nothing can compare to Pierre's drumming on this song.
