  • The ultimate off-road vehicle!

  • dear santa...

  • maximum strength >:o

  • Why aren't we using this yet?!

  • I wonder if Medicare or Medicaid would ever pay for something like this.

  • I really hope these can be aquired by the disabled in the near future; being able to walk like normal would mean the world to somebody like me. Even if they were $10k+ a suit, it'd still be worth it.

  • OMG at 2:15!! The Exoskeleton armor from the STALKER game looks very similar to this. Perhaps they based the armor on this exoskeleton...talk about realism.

  • Hell, it's about time

  • congradulations, now you can look really awkward at everyday tasks!!! woohooo

  • this some really nice technology

  • I bet this is gonna be a huge hit with outdoors type. Just think what's possible being able to carry a 150 pound load into the wilderness. A party of 4 could spend a month in the wilderness with a wall tent. Someone walking the AT could have a 4 months worth of food on his back in addition to his other gear. On and on...

  • I would like to see future version as a ergonomic suit.

  • Wait! YOU NEED POWER ARMOR TRAINING!!!

  • I would run to school with these! Bye bye scooter and bicycles!

  • Master Chief?

  • the backpack with the power supply and the metals is only 200 pound. that means that the user is doing all the work. this exoskeleton was designed to boost a person's morale and uplift his spirit, thus believing in himself and being able to walk... i think its not a bad idea

  • You can use an exoskeleton to carry a bunch of exoskeletons :o.

  • how does it work

  • thats how crysis beggen

  • for the weak; energy and pressure for growth and real strength.

  • 0:50 is this "kub" from parker lewis?? :)

  • what if it shuts down when you're in the middle of a sprint with a 200 pound backpack on your back... byebye

  • i want one haahha cool

  • assembled in china?

  • this want me to get one. just to try it. and run some test for myself.

  • With the exoskeleton, i can finaly do the matrix jump :D

  • I'LL MAKE A NANO SUIT! :D

  • aren't they using this for land warrior program o.o

  • what the deuce ppl in wheelchairs get bionic exoskeletons, which make them stronger and faster and amputees get powered knees and feet with no added lifting or running ability and shitty fiting sockets that make all of the other stuff usless, dude!

  • Future StarCraft armor?

  • damn i want one of these

  • Berkeley Bionics = Aperture Science?

  • Can it keep me walking while I sleep?

It would be a great way to keep fit.

  • But it would suck to fall over with 200 pounds of weights on your back

  • If it gets shot it's busted... or at least it will mallfunction

  • lol what if u have 200 lbs on your back and it breaks?

  • put a 90cc motor on the back and have it hydrooulic drive

  • we should swap reseach into faster F1 cars, into this.

making human exoskeletons to make us stronger and faster etc.

and make a sport out of it.

  • This should be a public item that you can buy at a sporting store .

  • So what happens if the soldier is carrying a huge load that would normally be crushing/unbearable and the battery suddenly dies?

  • lets see the japs match this.

  • I already imagine that the Mobile Infantry of the Starship Troopers novel version appearing in the next 10-15 years

  • Looks like it has a potensial to add a foldable roller-blade.

  • how long do the batteries last?

  • Price? :D

  • Price? :D

  • weight???

  • weight???

  • yeah... he looks real comfortable

  • i want one so i can run to and from school only in 2 minutes instead of 15 minutes lol

  • i want one to run to school and back only in 2 minutes instead of 20 lol

  • So many uses and applications it's ridiculous.

  • Jaja ... small package, the box is bigger than the human

  • what happens if it gets hit with a taser?

  • another step to reaching iron man's exoskeleton

  • now they have to make a upper body exo skeleton to lift heavier objects, and then they can get to work on armor with the exo skeleton in it to move at ease

  • First step towards warfare between Gundams.

  • for lazy fat soldiers..

  • this kind of stuff makes me feel better about joining the army even if my leg goes prostetics will have this kind of tech in a while..

  • ROBO COP!! amazing stuff

  • ROBO COP!! amazing stuff

  • ROBO COP!! amazing stuff

  • this looks very good for your cardiac, not too much weight over your body, so no leg injuries.

  • This is incredible, it's amazing what we can do

  • where is the rocket launcher?????

  • woow this was in Ghost Recon Future Soldier trailer

  • the gov &industry is always ready to push drugs ect. on us !why isnt this in wide scale use now??wouldve loved to have this when i was a grunt!and now camping and hunting!!!is its battery pack solar??

  • This is going to become the power armor

  • I am a paraplegic from Germany.

    I want an EXOSKELETON !

    The Medicine can´t do it.

    FUCK Wheelchairs -

    We need the Exoskeleton.

    Bye - Toto.

  • Interesting.

How well does the technology augment performance with only the wearer and no extra weight?

For example if one could hike 10 miles without rest when not carrying weight, would the exoskeleton allow them to hike 20 miles without rest?

Can it all you to run for longer periods of times without getting tired?

  • nice

  • SOLD! How much and where?

  • well well well ...i think we are going to have some fun in near future

  • THEY now have a way to make hand held miniguns possible:)

  • MAKE ME SOME POWER ARMOUR!!!

  • They will.

  • If I only had the resources I would totally make a power armour!

  • @toxik2005 Hell yeah. Power armor is the coolest shit ever.

  • Bad ass...

  • If the military is giving you so much shit to carry that you need an exoskeleton, it better be a ginormous gun and not a stupid back pack the size of a house. If that happens, I'd cross-train.

  • there is a motor and a computer in it, the computer controls the motors, what if the computer goes crazy and does moves so you break you legs ey?

  • it would be designed so that wouldn't happen you retard

  • @rabies79 Theoretically, it is possible for an exoskeleton to not have an on-board computer of any kind, but this would require for the wearer to have fully functioning joints and the aim of most exoskeletons is to enable the handicapped to walk upright. But for a military exoskeleton, such a computer-less exoskeleton would be of great use, since not many of the soldiers are cripples and the lack of an on-board computer would greatly reduce the power output and enhance the wireless capabilities.

  • Combining this technology and some advanced armor we could finally make real Power Suits.

  • where can i buy one. this is a must have

  • this is a really great tool for paraplegic people!! medical intitutions should use this kind of tech to help those people.

even for training/physiotherapy this could be really helpful!!

  • Wonder if they would perk it up to Avater like or something (if u watched dda movie avatar)

  • they should do some bionic commando prototype...they can do it

  • I just saw a program already their usin that crazy candian guys "Trojan suit" and they are trying to build a exo skeleton within the suit to improve soldiers performance. imagine that :) real life spartans

  • They have the technology. They have the capability to build the world's first bionic human. I want to be that man. Better than I was before. Better, faster, stronger.

  • They have the technology. They have the capability to build the world's first bionic human. I want to be that human. Better than I was before. Better, stronger, faster.

  • They should give these to ambulance medics too so they can lift really heavy people too.

  • they actually did!

  • Second that.

You know the average patient is 200+ lbs? Obviously not the average person but think about the type of people that need ambulances...

Although most calls are accompanied by both the Fire Department and EMS so they can use four or more people to lift an individual rather than just two.

And that thing is rather bulky :)

  • That's a good Idea.

  • Yeah, that's a really great idea... And firemen... I could really use it for framing houses... Instead of mounting dead weights on it, mount a liquid air tank, for my gun, give me a proper holster, and a portable saw, and I'm all set... Screw the generator and compressor... Carry everything with me... =)

  • @seanotube85 but they are only for the legs not arms, but your right thats a good idea, firefighters and medics

  • @seanotube85

Yes, undoubtedly exoskeletons will find many civilian applications as well. Somebody remind me to patent "Sexoskeleton." It's not an actual thing... yet...

  • @seanotube85 Maybe the really heavy people should lose weight instead of having to fit EMTS with exoskeletons.

  • This is awesome

  • Well, now think about a armour around the Guy ... creepy hm?^^

  • i wonder if they can mod it so you can jump really high

  • @crazyhugs Jumping really high probably wouldn't be a problem; landing without breaking your legs is the problem xD

  • @crazyhugs Jumping really high probably wouldn't be a problem; landing without breaking your legs is the problem xD

  • Extraordinary. Think of what exoskeletons can do for the disabled, deformed, and for those who have lost limbs ? How has man grown so advanced that its machines are now smarter than him ?

  • Skill.

  • Not smarter ... just stronger ... it is still the human controlling the movement

  • @eisco yes

  • @eisco if we couldnt build one before but we can now its smarter

  • @ allfatz, nothing is smarter then the human brain, this exoskeleton cant think for itself, its a high tech wheelchair.

  • @allfatz They're not smarter. It's just AI and programming. They're programmed to respond certain ways to certain things. We are not.

  • @allfatz smarter? man made it.

  • load a ol bollox, looks like bleedin robocop or sum thin

  • You know whats heavy? plates of armor, you know what else is heavy? a minigun with 1500 rnds and a shoulder mounted rocket pod. you know what else is heavy? large battery packs. This and the Sarcos suit... omg, why cant we just see these suits of powered armor now, we all know the government has them and is testing them... whatever!!!

  • @89vision89 Maybe for elite strike units. But you'll never be able to equip the whole army with it.

  • now all we need to invent is energy shielding and we can have our own spartan armor

  • not only good to prevent injury, but think of the help for people already injured, or who have paraplegia!

  • I'm a little worried it might turn some soldiers into weak legged exoskeleton abusers

  • I can see this being used by artilery loaders in the future, but I highly doubt it will be standard issue due to costs. It could gain popularity with Security contractor personnel, though.

  • How can be any help on the crouching position ?

    I didn't see 100 lbs. while crouching.

  • It needs a small onboard LP or diesel fueled engine/generator to recharge the batteries and to give hydrolic assistance!

  • I want one!

  • OMG and this was 4 years ago what now?

  • nice id want 1 of those!

  • I can climb with about 50 pounds.

With this toy it's way over 100 and without breaking sweat. Neat! I want it, i want it badly!

  • If it sounds too good to be true,,,

    What's the catch?

How long does the battery lasts under load?

  • interresting concept i wish we had companies in europe working on something like this

  • lol just what the americans need

  • i want to know were to buy one !

  • cyborg , i asume it runes bsd ?

  • This is a old model... military adaptions are already on the way to become full encased exoskeleton, problem still lies on power packs

  • Incredible.

  • they should call this the lazy bastard lol

  • can you carry a Minigun with that ...

  • there are many possibility for this exoskeleton:space marines, spartan, even terminators....YEA!!!!

  • this thing looks truely amasing, it'd definatly take the strain out of long distance haulage and heavy lifting

that and it could have a lot of potential outside the millitery other than as powered armour

im sure it would find a nitch as a mobility aid for the disabled

imagine being wheelchar bound by something crippling, like muscle atrophy, and then simply being able to slip on a pair of augumetic legs and walk again

i can't wait till the become available to the public, these look brilliant

  • that pretty damn amasing, it'd definatly take the strain off any long distance haulage or heavy lifting

that and it looks like it could have a lot of potential for outside the millitry too rather than as powered armour

its certainly got a nitch as a mobility aid for the disabled, imagine being wheelchair bound by something crippling, like muscle atrophy and being able to slip on a set of augumentic legs and walk again

i can wait until they become publicly available, this thing looks awesome =)

  • its proven that hard metallic armor works better than hard/soft armor plate that shatter and loose it effectiveness from one bullet...

sooo like what the other guy said...

    space marine.!!!

  • gonna be used for really fat people.... sad

  • Sorry, but the mankind havent yet developed a power source capable of feeding this. Otherwise cool.

  • That is very cool. Wonder what is current. I would love one of them.

  • now THIS is a really good idea, something that could help some1 who was unable to walk, walk again, i say forget about having it in the Military, give it to Hospital's, Charity, people in Society who NEED this sort of thing. cool video :) also i think they should be given codes the user (or friend or relative to the user) so it couldn't be taken/used by thieves if it was stolen

  • this is an idea!

  • POwer suit for lazy fat ass people...

  • What if you fall down with all of that weight and have to use your arms to push yourself up?

  • well super soldiers here we go

  • I couldn't see any motors, is this exoskeleton actually powered or does it just take the load off the back? If it is, it has bloody small batteries.

  • Me and Kathy think it's pretty cool. We need one of those. Many spinal injuries can be avoided when loading and unloading heavy equipment.

  • yeah it makes you wonder what the applications could be for people who have minimal use of their legs. i wonder when a commercial unit will be availible

  • and to think.. this was in use in 2005..

  • how much for one :D

  • Cool man.

  • Another step toward power armor, soon we will see Space Marines!

  • @ArkonDrakk I will say more a power suit than armor. Armor is bigger.. alittle bigger than Space marine terminators :P but yes... indeed... soon the space marines will come to live =D

  • @ArkonDrakk Then we just have to replace the President with an Emperor and were done!

Sign up for the Blood Ravns today ;)

  • @ArkonDrakk Now we just need to replace the President with a Emperor and were done ;)

  • @ArkonDrakk Screw Space Marines I'm gonna join the Enclave!

  • Don't misunderstand what this is useful for. It's not going to give anyone super-strength. This is purely for load carrying and reducing fatigue while traveling, which is of great concern for infantry, who would like to transport more supplies and equipment than they really have room for.

The reasons this is useful to the armor are the same as why it would be useful to campers and hikers. It's all about long distance travel!

That said, this is VERY useful, and very cool =)

  • I agree, but how combat effective would it be?

  • But still. Imagine wearing an armor like a Space Marine (search if u dont know :P). It's not heavy, at the same time as u get ultimate protection xD

  • dynamite was originally made for construction a lot of things made for construction work can and has been made to be used in the military. think about that.

  • it looks like it could have possiblities for motorcycle riders too. i saw an airbag jacket that deploys when the rider becomes separated from the motorcycle. maybe that could be applied to this somehow . it could save alot of broken limbs, to those who can afford it anyway.

  • I think this is great idea

  • @ftutbs A protection device for people in need of transportation already exists: the car.

  • I am surprise the American and/or Australian military isn't using it yet.

  • i wonder if there are also fitness applications for this.

  • like avoiding strain injuries ?

obviously having a machine carry load isn't too helpfull for fitness :)

  • God I love technology

  • seriously we (and i say we as a service member) could really use this in Iraq right now.

  • and how long can the battery hold the exoskeletton working?

  • This is amazing

  • so when will our soldiers get these?

  • good to carry, on a long distance or time heavy things, but, in a fighting situation, it will be exposed to hard environment and exposure.

it will broke or something :p

  • Super soilders!!

  • I wonder how much impact they can take. For instance, can you fall much farther then regular without hurting yourself?

  • are we seeing the early makings of Masterchief?

  • Tools are the shiznat.

    Tools to infinity.

    I love tools.

  • So far this is the best powered exoskeleton I prefer. Simple, reliable, lightweight, durable, portable, I love this. All we need now are two arms working similarly to the Exohiker.

  • isnt this how the mastercheifs suit was first created

  • i wonder if anyone ever thought about combining one of this exoskeletons to a fire-fighter breathing sytem if you add a chair on the back, you could rescue people much more easy out of burning buildings, I am a fire-fighter myself and i think that would be a great development

English is not my mother language, so i hope my grammer is not all to bad
