Great solo man! I'm currently working on building independence on my hands while playing the baiao and the timbale patterns on my feet. How did you go about achieving independace when you were younger over such patterns, any specific exercises? Any tips?

Thanks, I used to play the calve with my left foot and my bass drum pattern with my right foot, and then read out of the syncopation book with my hands. most important listen to the music!

There not really a name for it.I'm playing a 6/8 groove between the cowbell and the snare.Then I kind of morph into this groove in 3/4,while keeping the quarter note of the 6/8 groove with my left foot cowbell.I'll write it out and try to send it to you.

The sticking on that, I was doing a double stroke roll.I'm sliding my right hand from my tom or ride cymbal to the snare,then playing the left double on the snare, and accenting the second note of the double stoke.

no compression at all,I just used a 6 chanel mixer.the floor tom mic was ringing a bit.thanks for the comp. though.

No, that's compression - you can even hear it pumping That's at least 16 db of gain reduction. It's the same on all of your videos. Maybe the unit you recorded with has a built-in brick wall limiter that is set to 0db to avoid clipping. That would also explain the weired release time.

I can't tell what caused it, but that is a hell of a lot compression.

Anywho. - What bands do you play with? Is there a homepage or something?
