Yes you are right, used in the James bond film but it was Louis Armstrong with "we have all the time in the world" composed by John Barry and Hal David,
This is one of two machines I have, this one I don't think came from EMI studios, EMI mainly used their BTR-2 machines along with BTR-3 and Studer's, the BBC used these a lot, they were also exported to radio stations.
oh wow.. that is really high end model lol. i only have an akai x-150d i think from 1965 but its still great. i was about to say that would be worth like sooo much if it recorded some of the beatles first singles or something lol.

Very impressive indeed.
I have a akai X345 stereo tube deck from 1964.
almost everything works.....
play stereo is good.
reverse stereo...sometimes
yes, it already has reverse!!
but recording.. it will delete the tape.
but doesn't put music on it...
