  • muzzlebrake/flash hiders are about 30 bucks lol

  • Nice flash

  • "poor" mans 5.56 shooter next to the SU-16.

  • $6 well spent in ammo in my opinion

  • were you bump firing?

  • @MRAXWEDBAF Nope just pulling the trigger fast.

  • ok theres not THAT much recoil kid...

  • that was so worth 6 dollars!

  • Hummmm...almost the same slow firing rate of a B.A.R.

  • wow thats a fancy gunrange

  • That smile on your face says it all LOL

  • I just got one about 1 1/2 weeks ago.

    I love it!

Seeing that I don't have a shotgun, it's probably the first thing I'd grab if someone broke into my house at night.

  • *bump fire

  • that looks hella fon

  • More like $20.00 down the drain real fast. But it did look cool.

  • @Miscreant435 I just love guns. But I think the mini gets a bad rap compared to the AR because the AR shoots a tighter group by an inch or two. In combat give me the mini 14

  • new barrel please

  • shit after i saw this i took my mini out took me 3 20 round clips to fire tht fast lol

  • Cool video. The only thing is we don't know if he hit the target, what was his shot group like? I bought a Ruger Mini-14 about a year ago, love it! It is the rifle used on my job (Dept. of Correction). About 5 months ago they discontinued using the Mini-14! Ain't that a bitch! I'm still going to keep my Mini-14.

  • @leroy592 his shot were probably not very good

  • Comparing a Mini-14 and an AR is apples and oranges. Different guns for different purposes, both very good. Mini's are great fun/varmit/home defence guns that will never break down. Accuracy of the mini-14 has improved greatly since Ruger retooled in 2004. I haven't shot ARs much, but they are more suited for tactical/combat scenarios and have better ergonomics and perhaps a bit more accuracy. That said, I have no problems bouncing a pop can around at 100-150 yds. with my mini using iron sights.

  • Just saying a random comment as I read thru all the comments of people putting the mini 14 up against the ar-15. Here are some facts. For what you get for your money an ar is a better gun comes with more features. More ergo cheaper mags nicer stock for less money IE dpms stag etc. Mini is reliable however all these people who say ar's suck and they jam and you need to clean them dont have a clue i own both and never had my ar-15 jam in 10 yrs. Keep it lubed and clean as you would any other gun

  • I have both the AR and the Mini 14. I like the Mini for a combat sit. We used the M-16 when I was a Marine and we named them female names for a reason. I guess in street fighting they are fine, but they jammed too easily for comfort in the sand.

  • the mini is a reliability beast, the ar belongs in a museum case and kept notoriously clean

  • i have a friend who has an ar and it keeps jamming at the worst times we were at the range the other day and i pull out my ak and challenged him to a bumpfire battle because he thinks he is such a badass with his 1500 dollar ar and i won easily he couldnt finish of his clip i just laughed and said maybe next time buddy lol

  • thats about how it works out here to they are known for jamming frequently. Thats a funny story you cant beat proven reliability, unless you use cheap aftermarket mags there shouldnt be any trouble feeding. A gunsmith up the road 30 miles said that he has had a few with broken extractors after shooting wolf ammo because of a problem with the ammo being too hot. Nock on wood i havent run into trouble with mine but i have noticed that bulk wolf ammo is a box of chocolates.

  • Thankfully, Ruger stepped up and started offering heavier barrels, as well as changing their process as far the front sight installation is concerned, so accuracy has been vastly improved. I went ahead and picked up a tactical 16" mini the other week. Its looks good next to my AR, hehe!

  • mini 14's are great for the money and all but the ar-15 has its place in my heart

  • @bradsterfordawin still an opinion but my trust is with the ar-15 since they have proven themselves in war... im not really a mini14 fan but im going to stick with what i know works

  • The Mini 14's mechanics are based off of the M1 Garand, which General George S. Patton called "The Greatest Battle Implement Ever Devised". This gun was used in World War II, the Korean war, and Vietnam.

  • @CavikTheHavok then again... General George S. Patton probably never saw an ar-15 variant such as the busmaster/remington/magpul ACR

  • I'm just saying the mechanics have more than proven themselves in war. Which of these two guns is "better", I have no idea.

  • The M-16 just proved to be a "bitch" gun in war. That is why we named them after our ex-girlfriends. I say bring back the M-14. We could have used it much more

  • is the m 14 the same as the mini 14

  • I was in the 3rd Marines. The mini- 14 is a .223 version of the M-14 which is a 7.62mm NATO round. It has much more power than a mini-14. However the mini-14 bolt system is very much akin to the M-14 (as is the entire rifle) that it is a "mini" version. Like I said the AR is a good rifle and for street combat I'll take it, but for war I want the M-14. If not that than give me an AK then the mini but the AR would be my very last choice.

  • first off thnk for serving i would also like to be a marine in recon and second how did you like the m 16

  • @bulldogwon no shoots a 5.56 instead

  • same platform/design

    mini is smaller

  • Spend the extra 400 dollars on a rock river arms ar-15!! dont bash my comment its an opinion because most ar-15's work better(accurate) than mini's no offense to their owners

  • @MaNGLeDSHaDoW

I agree that AR-15's are better but when you just want a fun AR a mini gets the job done for less... Haha.

  • I agree that an AR is more accurate, but if I want accuracey I am going to go with an M-14 or something that has much more reach and power. In an AR, Mini or Ak I would take the AK. We used the M-16 in Iraq, but the AK was much more reliable. The Mini is also more reliable. The AR is pretty and fun, but for a gun that will take a beat down and still fire give me the mini or AK.

  • what branch of service weree you in?

  • @whittvet good point, i think its funny how guys nit pick the mini for not being moa accurate. However for the combat range of within 400 yards, a mini will do just as good as anything. And yes if you want accuracy, i would want a .308 anyways for a longer effective range. While an AR-15 might shoot an inch or two tighter groups @100yds, it wont shoot any further than a mini. It's the same round. give me a 308 M1A for long range and a mini for less than 400.

  • spend the extra $400 and get an AR15. It is well worth the accuracy

  • Easy to say if you have an extra $400...

  • i got armor piercing rounds for this gun hehe.. *this in no way implies that i am truthful or that my statement is a legally bounding contract with what i said* (but i do) (*maybe i dont*) hehe

  • I do. I even do a video about them...

  • Goodbye $10 hahaha

  • Lol NIIIICE!

  • Well there went 10 bucks

  • more like 30 down the drain in some states

  • Nice

  • does look kinda cartoonish in a way, i think this is gonna be the next gun i buy

  • Good choice.

  • @LVblz702i was going to buy one too but then i saw the 600 something dollar price tag and bought an ak47 lol

  • How the fuck is that fake?

  • HELL YEA GET SOME!!!

  • was that one .223 or 6.8?

  • .223 - a couple years ago when ammo was a little cheaper.

  • lol looks so fake.... but I know it's not fake...

  • looked dangerous, the butt slowly starts to drift off his shoulder

  • he must have a poor mans class 3 firearm

  • DAMN, I got a semi auti mini 14, but DAMN!!!!

  • @tuskbaron dude then bump fire it lol it looks even faster if you bump fire it..

  • NICE!

  • Nice.

  • damn! fast shotin! great vid minis rule!

  • Loved it. Do it it again...

  • For the love of God buy a flash suppressor! Cool video though.

  • bumpfire ;), i still cant figure out how >=(!!!

  • It's not hard man, see how the guy lets the gun kind of "float" in his grip. Just hang loose on the rifle and let the recoil pull the trigger for you.

  • he baisicly did it...watch again

  • dang i would say that is about as fast as you could shoot a semi auto
