While this may be good financially for boxing it is miserable to the casual fan who thinks he's a god. We started to recognize after clottey that all of his wins were set-up making him a cash cow. Marquez represents that guy that is challenging the system. He represents all that is right with the sport

well phillipines have been boxing way before pacquiao. theres been many filipino champions, and i have to disagree with you cause pacquiao and mayweather both got really famous and known after one man. and thats oscar de la hoya, and the reason many people love pac is cause he went against all odds fighting good mexican boxers the three best in mexico was morales marquez and barrera, im a pac fan and i hope tha he can beat mayweather to shut mayweather up finally.

@2woIntenze I say all of this with a level of sincerity because even though im caucasian my wife is filipina and I have really gotten to know and love filipino people and culture. For the most part they are very friendly and caring people. I had a soft spot for pac and wanted him to succeed but after the mosley fight and them picking jmm over sergio martinez i thought this dude was nothing but a cash cow whose career is set up

Here's the thing I've been watching this sport now for around 20 years and I have never seen anyone with more excuses than pac and mayweather for that matter as to why not fight better competition. Every fighter i listed is absolutely doable all of them except for one fight as JWW which is 140 lb division. He has been spoon fed, I dont hate pac my wife is filipino and he means a lot to the community but he is a gimmick

@blueyourmom123 also as far as competition below 147 there is a ton! timothy bradley, lamont peterson, amir kahn, jmm at 140 so he is quick, robert guerrero marcos maidana these are all ranked fighters at the 140 division. welter weight 144 ortiz, berto, mike jones, kell brook...all these guys are better than the garbage he has been fighting
