That's totally legal. As a goalie, we're allowed to protect ourselves when we leave our bodies stretched and open like that. The striker got what he deserved for trying to charge the goalie.

@King12986 but the forward didnt charge him he was running for the ball on the off chance the goal keeper would miss and when u jump up like that u put ur knee up not ur foot.

@King12986 ------- No you aren't "allowed to do that." I don't care if you say "as a goalie," because I can tell you AS AN OFFICIAL, if the guy's coming at you full steam, sure, you could theoretically kind of put your leg up to brace yourself, but A. if I see you put your leg up to his face, red card. You don't need to face kick him to protect yourself; you've got the chest, hips, or you could duck. B. If the guy is obviously slowing down, and you kick him ANYWHERE, I'll red card you.

@King12986 ------- What rule book have you been reading? If you can name me the literal rule book and rule reference number that say face kicks are ok for goalies to dish out to players following up on a ball that are clearly in the process of leaning back and pedaling to slow down, I'll give you free rein to face kick all you want. Don't give me any BS generalities about protecting yourself; if you cross the line from protection to aggression, you're in the wrong.
