I know, but they flirted with celebrities with talent. Miley Cyrus is overexposed, cannot sing correctly and by putting the Muppets with people like her and other stars of that horrible network that happens to be the name of the incredibly talented man named Walt Disney, people are now more than ever believing that the Muppets are for little children when one of the reasons for the show in the first place was for Henson to have a more grown up name.

nuchtchas: Excuse me, but you only listed a few of the stars. Many of the guest stars could sing and act. In fact, many of them--like Edgar Bergen--were the influence for Jim to create The Muppets in the first place!

You may not like it, but that is how it is. The Muppet Show was nothing but a cross promotion tool, better then the Tonight show because Jim, Frank & Jerry brought something new to the tvs of the US and the UK.

The Muppet Show was created for the same reason a lot of shows were created- a person had an idea for one and they made it happen. And the point I am getting at is that Jim Henson created the Muppet Show to break away from Sesame Street, and to prove that puppets could be used to entertain adults as well. Miley Cyrus performing with them completely diminishes that side of the Muppets.

hardly, there is a difference between the guests and the show. not all guests were super talented, you had varying talent like Harry Belefonte to Cheryl Ladd, you can't tell me that they are of the same talent level.
