This is one of the most beautiful songs I have ever heard. I first heard of this when I was given one of the free cds that the DJ was giving out at a teenage disco back in the mid 90s. Little did I know what a gem I had been given :)
Hey Buddy, Nice to see your face after all these years. I'm Barney Van Valin. We used to play guitar together, kind of trade songs we'd written. I was in Chicago doing a residency in Pediatrics. I always thought you were so good on guitar and you taught me a few of your songs. I remember the song 'Maxwell' was one of my favorites along with one you wqrote about your sister going to Alaska. You also had to this day my favorite version of 'Sitting Here In Limbo'.

Another of our great unsung hero songwriters. My personal favorite is "Coming Down In the Rain."
Art Garfunkel often gets the credit for this song, but Buddy wrote it and sings it with his soul.
