@mensa517 it doesn't teach them any such thing. this nation has deteriorated due to parents not teaching their kids the most basic rules of respect and decency. Kids think respect is only for those with guns, or fat attitudes, or who can bully others. Question Authority, but stop being spoiled brats too.
With civic education, it's vital to integrate a hands-on learning structure, so that the abstract governmental subjects seem directly relevant and concrete to students and engage their energies. Through that, innovative approaches can be applied to a multitude of disciplines.
