of course you can. Theres a audio in to record from every source.

You can also save the song on a SD card and load it.

I never worked with garage band but the mpc has midi in/out so you can use it as a midi tool.

You can tune the samples in it.

This beat is dope like this. Because the drums at this level let the sample shine. I did tracks before with mad heavy drums and sound like they overpower the beat to me. Now I feel a beat with a heavy bassline needs heavy drums because they could get buried under a thick bassline man.
