For those who has a problem about making a fading transition at the ends, with your brush tool selected, see to it that shape dynamics is activated. Also, activate stimulate pressure when stroking the path. Otherwise, you'll have a solid line.

when i do this my lines are the same size throughout, urs are slim in the start and end and then get wider towards the middle can someone please help me with that problem?

When I choose a brush size it says 'Size' and not 'Master Diameter' And then when i go to stroke path and use simulate pressure, it dont simulate the pressure it just strokes the path, im using photoshop cs5 HELP PLEASE THANKS

to all those having problems with the effect line not wavy Make an open line using Pen Tool (P) click Brush Tool (B) click window > Brushes or click F5 Activate Shape Dynamics and set control to Pen Presure Then on canvas, right click> Stroke Path, check Simulate Pressure Done! Tips: - to sharpen the edge, set the hardness of Brush Tool (B) to 100% - Brush tool (B), right click and set the hardness

Dammit,

I learned this yesterday and everything went fine. But today I don't get that fade in the end only one fat line which is awful!

I don't know what I do wrong :S I have stimulate pressure on, and it's on brush of course.

And my brush settings are just the normal hard on size 9, mode normal and 100% Hardness :S

weird... I have the same problem.. sure you don't have any shape in your brush? ...Because i don't know even how to get the fade in both extremes of the pencil... [i do have same settings than yours :P]

If i understand what your problem is, make sure "Simulate Pressure" is checked when you are going to "Stroke Path".

The menu here this will be selected is at 1:38.

You have to go to brush manger or preset anagerand go to brushes there will b a list of efects over there e.g scatter ... and there is a effect their that makes the line fade at the end.

if its locked then you are making a shape not path. Make sure you press new layer and your settings for the pen tool are the same as mine. Check this by pausing the video, whilst my pen tool is selected. The settings are at the top of the screen.

ahh i see erm well i dont really know my brush is the basic circle brush hardness 100% and size 5, pause the video when my pen tool is selected and make sure the settings are like mine ? Im not really sure why you get that, like i said just pause when my pen is selected and also when i do my outerglow and make sure the settings are like mine ... ? THANKS FOR ALL THE SUPPORT BTW GUYS =D

check my comment in reply to m3talrana above. i think it explains how to get the fade at the end.

as for the smooth glow, look at where his mouse is pointing at 2:17. if you play with those two settings (Spread and Size). That is what gave me the glow i desired.
