@StrangeRandomChannel I saw that - they managed to jam a terminal interface into it. The one issue with me is the screen size. I plan to get the Dell Streak for it's 5" screen-size, and good portability factor. What I'd really like to have though, is an internet device, running Linux, that has a built in physical QWERTY keyboard & a nice big screen. I like the tablets that are coming out, especially the Meego devices, but none of them has a physical keyboard. I don't want a smartphone. lol

it does lots of things , It has wifi. If you know how, you could flash it and add a web browser (is similar to jailbraking an iphone) or wait future versions.

bit more $ with a browser and Wifi check the Nokia Tablets like the N770 (maybe on ebay), N800, N900 (youtube them). Also by xmas cheap do-it-all "smartbooks".

If you have $ for 3G plan then a "smartphone" like the new Droid, G1, HTC hero,etc. (some also have wifi for free internet in many places)

well the price is now $50, no sub monthly fee and it's easily hackable (yay!) you can get almost a full linux system on it, just look for z2 flashing or zipit hacking. it was nice b4 now it's better ^^

I got one of these and it kept freezing up, the battery life sucked, then after like 2 months the screen kept turning bright orange then slowly fading to a pure white. It sucked. Maybe mine was just defective, but I don't recommend one.

You would really have to look at what you use more. Do you talk to people more on the phone or do you talk to people more online, if you talk to people more online then I would go for the zipit, that way you can can talk as much without hogging the phone or the computer!
